It's probably pretty accurate. I just thought FC Dallas and Solar were doing a little bit better in those areas. So I'm a little surprised.

LP not surprised at all.

Just now starting to see a lot of these teams in tournaments! As far as the girls list the top 5 clubs are well represented with national level teams at all age groups. Other than that, the rankings seem to be based on your performance at the national level during that year.

the rankings also depend upon a team's performance in an NSR tournament. if you don't participate in an NSR tournament, then you won't be in the NSR list. on the NSR website, they state, "Want to improve your team's ranking? Sign up for an NSR tournament! NSR tournaments, State, Regional, and National Cup tournaments carry the most weight for ranking purposes in any particular state or region. Our experts will be there to see your team play and it's one of the best ways to improve your teams ranking!"

Texans, Sting and Feet do not participate in NSR tournaments.

Still this ranking is a joke. As much a joke as GotSoccer's rankings.

Heretic! What do all those academy parents have to live for but to one day make it to the big girl rankings?

The clubs represented on the list are very strong! No dought FC Dallas missing on the boys side and Solar, FC Dallas missing on the girls side is strange, but I cannot deny the clubs listed are very strong year to year.

How can you be not surprised by Liverpool not being on the list? They have over 60 teams on the girls side alone, several quality practice location and a staff second to none.

I don't think # of teams, practice facilities, nor coaching staff were part of the ranking criteria. But if it was you would be assured Liverpool would be at the top!

Post by Tiki-taka 09/01/13, 04:13 pm

#13 KCFC caught my eye, and thought of "soccermom4life" Then realized she's been writing about Kings Court Soccer Association (KCSA). I'm sure she blames everyone but Britts and kaitlynn for KCSA not being ranked. Some classic quotes posted recently:

"Parents apparently are so fed up that they’re pulling their kids and heading to other clubs. This is exactly what happens when parents don’t have a realistic understanding of just how average their kids are. "

"Yesterday was the last of the four training sessions with Dorrie for Kaitlyn and Brittney, but I'm so impressed I'm going to have to keep her on retainer. LOL. But I think I will. Mark and I are drawing up a simple contract for Dorrie which will guarantee her $300 a month from us for the next five months in exchange for 50 total hours of training for the girls and a no compete clause; she can't train any other girls during this time. It seems reasonable."

"There has apparently been a huge misunderstanding around here. Cole has inadvertently been placed on the Bronze-B team. I have phone calls into everyone I know at KCSA. This will be corrected soon. But it's like living a bad dream that just won't end."

"And then I see while trolling on FaceBook that about half the Gold girls, both U10 and U12, are away for New Years not getting in any training. It just kills me that there's a lack of commitment from so many of our teammates. All I can do is put my daughters in a position to be their best; why can't everyone else?"
