Don't let the score fool you. They are strong. No help for the awesome forward they have.

Please tell me that at some point SRSA parents started golf clapping for goals, and that dds were required to do a newly learned skill move, minimum # passes, or something to make them sweat before being allowed to take a shot/shoot fish in a barrel.

Golf clap yes. Passing yes. Keep away at one point yes. Letting the '05 on your team score 3 goals yes. I will give credit to the Triumph girls. They never quit and kept playing hard.

SAMBA 0
Don't have any stats from the game. The heat was brutal for the girls.

Having an 05 on this team is pointless. Any half decent forward from 04 or 05s could play up front for SRSA and score lots of goals. I'm sure this is not NTXs idea of development but I suppose it's not against their rules so.....,.

As you recall, I called it 1) SRSA, 2) DT South, and 3) Samba Black...
I guess we'll know soon.

This little girl comes to all our practices and takes a beating from our girls and keeps coming back for more. We needed an extra sub. She deserved to get the nod from the coach to sub in for us and played REALLY well. This girl will be a SOLID scoring forward for any '05 team soon.

Juve 3
I know most people on this thread do not care about 3rd place.
I would like to see a summer poll. (ranking system)

Re: Prime time '03 Scores
The Solar girls were/are unbelievable! It didnt help that we froze after about 5 minutes but they play way beyond their years. Not only are the fast they actually know what they want to do. These girls are good not because they are the biggest either! My team had 3 chances to score and managed to score after getting a breakaway and taken down for a penalty kick. I know we can do better and throughly enjoyed playing and watching this team in the final yesterday. I found them nothing but class from the coach down to the parents and players.
The final was incredible, with both Texans and Solar having fantastic technique. Solar running out 4-0 winners. It was a joy to watch two great teams play each other.
So my only consolation after a beating is we are the only team to score on them! Some hope at least! Just have to take this one on the chin and come back stronger
One thing I did find unfair is that The Solar v Irving Elite finished 4 minutes after the second half started, was never given the reason why by the tournament staff

Thank you for the compliments cityslicker. It was nice meeting you and your team parents Saturday. I believe the last game of the day was called early due to the heat and the obvious outcome of the game. Keep up what you are doing with your team. Positive coaching and positive parents will help these girls continue to develop.

Re: Prime time '03 Scores
For the last 3 Prime Time tourneys,SRSA has 104 goals for and 5 goals against.
We talk a lot about the girls scoring at will, but the lock down defenders are doing a great job. 4 of the total goals came from Samba 2 weeks ago and 1 goal on a PK from Triumph. SRSA was not scored on by Samba or DT Sounth this weekend. That is a tough feat in itself.
Great job defenders!!

How dare you disregard the 1 goal that Sting '03 scored against SRSA two weeks ago. You take away all of the goals that SRSA scored against us and we would have actually won the game 1-0! In fact I believe (please don't research this...) that Sting '03 has scored on SRSA each of the 4 times that the teams have played. So if you really look at things side ways and remove all of the SRSA goals then Sting/Ando '03 is 4-0 vs SRSA.
No respect....no respect....

I need to check the stats, but you bring up some good points. Never thought about doing the math your way!! Have you tried using your philosophy and started any power rankings? I would ne curious to see those.
