Okay...regional semifinals are set. Predictions for regional winners and state winner?

I'll go with the following:
Northwest-Byron Nelson to win Region 1; Highland Park to win Region 2; Waco-Midway to win Region 3; and give me Pflugerville-Hendrickson to win Region 4

Highland Park against Waco-Midway in the final with Highland Park winning the title....IMHO

Looks like region 3 comes down to Waco Midway and Friendswood tomarrow for something like the 5th year in a row.

Thanks. I was at the Ryan-Birdville playoff game and Ryan dominated play but lost a heartbreaker on a goal with 7 minutes left. I would have loved to see Ryan play BN again who they (Ryan) already beat twice this season. What could have been!

Their twin sons attended the BNHS vs Birdville game in Wichita Falls and were in a horrible accident on their way home. Sadly, one of the brothers passed away last night. The other has been released from the hospital. They are seniors at BNHS and went to support the lady bobcats. So tradgic............

I posted a simliar comment on the 5A thread...but I'm really confused. Why hasn't the UIL stuck to the matchups they put out on their playoff brackets??? The original Class 4-A brackets showed the winner of Region 1 playing the winner of Region 2. Now, the state tournament schedule is showing Region 2 (Highland Park) set to play Region 3 (Waco Midway) and Region 1 vs. Region 4 in the semis.

If I were Midway or Highland Park, I would be extremely upset. In Class 4-A Waco Midway and Highland Park appear to be the best two teams remaining and shouldn't be playing each other until the final...especially if the matchups are going to be manipulated, right?

P.S. As I pointed out on the 5-A thread...It looks like they did exactly the opposite in Class 5-A with the same result..(switched from pairings on original brackets...Region 1 vs. 3 and Region 2 vs. 4...to where now it is Region 1 vs. 2 (Again...the best 2 teams in Plano West and Klein Oak) and Region 3 vs. 4. I STILL don't get it... Can anybody help explain it to me?

Don't know the reason but they did the same thing last year in 4A Region 1 vs 3.

They seed the teams according to season record I believe..
