Starting in June, the Tigers will be offering FREE OPEN skills sessions for 07Gs at least once, but probably twice a week. Sessions will be held in LANTANA and are tentatively scheduled to be held on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings. If we have enough interest, we will play some indoor and Quickfoot tournaments, and see where things lead going into the Fall.

If you are interested in having your dd learn some soccer and have a great time this summer FOR FREE, email me!!

Atanta?

Shouldn't it be Lady Tigers or Ligers?

Deb: What's a liger?
Napoleon Dynamite: It's pretty much my favorite animal. It's like a lion and a tiger mixed... bred for its skills in magic.

But no - We are the Tigers. And the skills are fun and free.

The location is LANTANA - which is sandwiched between Denton, Argyle, and Flower Mound off FM 407 about 6 miles West of I-35.

Buyer beware! If you want your 5 year old berated on the field, yelled at for kicking the ball over the goal in a 3v3, parents that yell at the girls on the other team to touch the ball when it is in the crease in a 3v3 match so they can get credit for a goal, then this is the team for you.

I have never seen such an over the top group (parent & coaches) for a bunch of 5 year olds...I thought the point was to make the game fun for the girls and teach them soccer to develop a love for the game, not to have one of the girls walk off the field in the middle of the match and sit down with her back to the game because she was tired of being yelled at.

Kids should not start two structured practices a week until at least 7. The only way this is ok is if you are really playing fun soccer learning skills games and even then it's a bit over the top for 4-5 year olds.

Remember Parents/Coaches

The goal for U6-U8 soccer is to instill a LOVE and FUN for the game of soccer... not to train up national team players.

I realize U8 Academy is pretty much turning into select for North Texas, but it would be nice if we limited this to U8 and kept it away from U5s.
