2012=2013 ECNL National events

is there a link to the 2012=2013 ECNL National events? I know one is in Dallas this year, looking for what the dates of each event are.

I believe the U-14's have an "inter-conference event" in the spring in Chicago and in the fall in Phoenix.

There are no regular national events in Chicago this year.

You may be right, but not according to the information from the league. Certainly stranger things have happened.

From the ECNL's commissioner on 5/30/12:

U14 Age Group: The U14 schedule will be increased in the number of conference games to provide a more complete platform. Within this schedule are two regional cross-conference events of three games each (one fall event and one spring event). Clubs have been assigned to specific locations for these events. Finally, to reduce costs and travel, only the top 16 U14 teams (two from each conference) will attend the 2012-2013 National Finals in mid July.

U15-U18 Age Groups: After significant discussion and consideration, the competition structure for U15-U18 will be different in 2012-201. To reduce travel and other costs, all cross-conference games will be eliminated from the schedule.

There will no longer be an “A” or “B” flight in the regular season. The challenge of maintaining different flights in a conference-based competition structure has resulted in conference games with little “meaning” and with significantly different numbers of “national standing” games between teams (in terms of number of games against same-flight opponents). In place of a regular-season “flight” will be post-season “flights.”

Qualification for the post-season ECNL Champions League and ECNL North American League will be based primarily on conference competition. This way, every conference game will have significant meaning. The top three (3) teams from every conference will automatically qualify for the ECNL Champions League. Eight ( additional teams will qualify for the ECNL Champions League through a wildcard process.

The post-season will be divided into two stages: (i) the ECNL Play-Off event in late June, and (ii) the ECNL National Finals in mid-July. All U15-U17 teams will participate in the ECNL Play-Offs. No U18 teams will participate in the ECNL Play-Off event.

National Showcase Event Series: The dates and locations of the 2012-2013 ECNL National Showcase Event Series have been finalized. These dates are provided below for your convenience. A process for selecting preferences on events (two events for U15 and U18, three events for U16 and U17) will be distributed by Thursday morning:

that's the info I had seen before too, forgot the schedule was there as well.
so no more cross conference, Texas teams will play all other Texas teams. With two more Texas clubs at least we won't be playing Sting/Texans/D'Feeters/FC Dallas/Solar all the time, and won't have to travel to Chicago to play league games!

So for U16 we get a break having one national event in our backyard too!

Anyone know where the games for the Dallas event will be played? FCD perhaps?

My understanding is that the Texas event will be held at the FCDallas complex in Frisco.

well the drive to Tulsa wasn't too bad last year, at least that one toll road is like 80mph or something. It is a boring drive though.

They are in the process of building a new $25 million soccer complex in Broken Arrow. 21 fields, most of them lighted and with synthetic turf. Construction began this spring. Maybe it will be ready for you all the next time you head north to take on the Hurricanes.

I think that must be the new Solar complex that has been in development for so many years, and has cost them so much money.

That would be nice. Was up there twice. Once a few years ago for the Presidents Cup. Most of the fields were horrible. Uneven, bare spots and hard as a parking lot. Was there again for Premier League last year and the fields we were on had been redone and were much better but not as nice as most around here.
