LP Keegan 1:1 Vitesse (0:0)

Fairly even game - both sides controlled play at different times. Vitesse missed a PK late in 2nd half that would have been a game winner. Not a whole lot of scoring opportunities for either team.

Both teams played great defense. Time of possession was very lopsided in favor of Mustangs. Sting goalie had several great saves.

Hats off to the SRSA girls, I love to watch them play.
We knew it would be rough, but man, not that rough.
Our girls kept fighting to the end though. We're just glad
to say we survived and we're super glad to have that game
out of the way.

Looks like I only missed one game this weekend, FCD Premier won 1-0 vs Sting West, but everything else seemed to play according to what everyone thought.

I didn't get to watch any of the games (doubtful I will all year with them being so far away from where I live) but from the game accounts I've heard this morning, SRSA is still SRSA and then there are about 5 teams that are a notch below with DTS, Scarfone, and possibly Fever having the best shot to give SRSA a game.

Sounds like most of the teams that spent the summer playing 11v11 had an advantage cardio wise (which is to be expected), however I expect that advantage to go away over the next few weeks though.

im confused... Scarfone has an 04 team in the 03s AND the 04s TGPL? Is this a 1st and 2nd team situation? Can anyone clarify?

Yes, his '03 team plays in TGPL Gold, and his '04 team plays in TGPL Silver. Two separate teams with the '04 team playing up an age group.

I think we get that...but there's another 04 Scarfone team playing TGPL U9 in addition to the 04 team playing up. What's the scoop on these two 04 teams?

It is academy, it is probably a mix and match. I miss the days where we had 2-3 games a weekend and the DD could play at different levels. Select blows.

I think it is great. I miss academy and having the DD get to play different teams, levels, and leagues - and get extra touches on the weekend. This 9 game select season blows.
