Hi, thanks for the posting about this. good reminder. Can you confirm if the format will have all the games played on the same day?

Exitmiester, I'm assuming you're affiliated with this tournament, so let me say we thoroughly enjoyed the day yesterday.

If you guys are open to suggestions for future events, port-o-potties located by the northern fields would be GREAT! We had some "slower" older parents and grandparents in our group and, particularly for the women, it would often take 30+ minutes round-trip and waiting in line before making it back to the field.

Also, after watching numerous games throughout the day, it appeared as though the referees were told to position themselves only on one sideline, and for some, they never budged from the intersection of the sideline/half line. These same folks could blow a whistle, but gave no indication as to the call made. It actually became a joke between coaches that they'd just decide whose ball it was shout it to the players...and right or wrong, the refs typically never overruled.

Also, lighting was poor on the northern fields the later into the evening we progressed.

Otherwise, perfect weather, a lot of great people out there, happy kids...just a great soccer day overall. We'd definitely do it again!

Other ideas, no entry box or arc to keep teams from playing a goal keeper ,scoring from over half field, and referees need to be closer to the run of play. It just seemed like a lot of kick ball being played. Other than some of those suggestions it was a good day at a great price.

Havent been on this board in a long time. Good to see the DRAMA is still going strong on the board as a whole. HAHAHA JK.

But this tourney was well put together. Except for the lighting that one of the previous posts mentioned it was a good event. I didnt see much kickball. Saw a lot of good quality teams but that can be diff for each bracket, age, etc....

And overall the refs, parents, directors, etc... did a good job.

I agree that this was a well-run tournament, and I also agree that the refs could be a lot more involved, especially at the younger age groups. On a separate topic, how wonderful was the weather this weekend? We could not have asked for more perfect conditions for early December.
