Fever United Spring Break Mini Camp Empty Fever United Spring Break Mini Camp

Post by Ronaldhinofan 25/02/13, 01:57 pm

Parents:

Thanks very much for your interest in the Fever United Spring Break Mini - Soccer Camp! Our Club has been very effective in enhancing the development and performance of players and teams throughout the DFW area.

The Fever United Futbol Club will be using certified trainers to teach your kids the technical skills they need to excel or improve in the game of soccer. Our camps are specifically designed to teach the fundamentals of soccer, as well as improve skill at any level. This camp is the perfect opportunity to take your child’s game to the next level or to introduce your child to the exciting game of soccer. Take advantage of this year’s spring break by enrolling your child in a camp that keeps them active & involved in a team sport! Camps fill up quickly so don’t delay in enrolling your son/daughter in this year’s spring break camp! We will only be accepting 160 participants during this camp in order to ensure that each instructor has the opportunity to give effective instruction to each player throughout the duration of the training sessions.

To this end, the Fever United Futbol Club will be conducting a 3 day Spring Break camp from March 13th -15th at Colleyville Middle School located at 1100 Bogart Lane, Colleyville, TX 76034 .The camp will run from 9:00 A.M. – 1:00 P.M. The cost for attending this 3 day camp for players:

• 6 -8 years of age is $120 (Only $175 total to include a second family member of the aforementioned age range)
• 9 -14 years of age is $170 (Only $275 total to include a second family member of the aforementioned age range)

During this camp, Fever United Instructors will cover and improve the following technical aspects:

Shooting Mechanics 101: Shooting is the most important factor in the attacking third of the field, but poor technique or players who are unwilling to shoot often lead to goal scoring opportunities being missed. Even among the world’s elite levels of soccer, many shots pass high and wide or players can be seen to hesitate in front of goal. Thus, shooting practice should not only work on acquiring the correct techniques, but on developing the right mental attitude.

1 v 1 Skills and Ball Mastery: Probably the single most important thing a child can learn in soccer is to be comfortable with the ball at their feet. Consequently, the most effective way to establish and enhance that comfort is to give them multiple touches on the ball, i.e. increase their 1 v 1 foot skills. Technical skills should be the foundation of every training session regardless of the players’ age and level of competition.

Defensive Mechanics 101: An effective team defense keeps the other team from scoring during games. However, you cannot have an effective team defense if the players within that defense are not capable of handling their individual defending obligations. Defensive Mechanics 101 breaks down the fundamentals of defending as an individual/team into easy-to-learn and fun training exercises. Players will effectively learn how to understand pressure, cover and balance as they relate to the entire team's defensive strategy.

Small sided games: Small sided games are acknowledged throughout the coaching profession as one of the best ways to coach soccer skills and tactics. Players will develop core skills through the sheer number of quality touches on the ball that each game guarantees. At the same time they will learn to develop the ability to see more spaces on the field in realistic game conditions. Players will benefit from these small sided games by:

• More player participation in a shorter amount of space
• Different small sided games provide different problems to solve and skills to use
• More touches on the ball
• More passes attempted
• More 1 v 1 challenges attempted
• No referee needed
• No results recorded
• Players take responsibility

The Fever United Futbol Club has found that camps and regular training sessions will not solely create a great player. The camps and regular training sessions combined with a player’s ability to practice on his or her own will create great players. The overall goal of the Fever United Spring Break Camp is to provide effective instruction for athletes that have the ambition to practice on their own. “The vision of a champion is someone who is bent over, drenched in sweat, at the point of exhaustion when no one else is watching.” - Anson Dorrance
