'03 Girls FBR Rankings - 02-28-13
'03 Girls FBR Rankings - 02-28-13
Note: SRSA '03 Solca has dropped from the FBR rankings due to having played fewer than 3 games against NTX '03 girls opponents during the current FBR ranking history period. SRSA '03 Solca is the de-facto #1 girls team in NTX until they are beaten by another '03 girls team from somewhere in the known universe (or even the unknown universe for that matter...).

I have a question along the same lines.
Our team recently played a Waco tournament where they were allowed to play up against U-12 boys rec teams. We completely dominated the pool play but in the finals we came up against the fabled and much heralded 09 Pink Ponies and had a match on our hands. We ended up winning in PKs but it took a huge physical and mental toll on our girls. Those PP girls are brutal and play way beyond their years. Thank goodness their goalie had a loaded diaper on the last shot, or we may have come out with an L.
My question is, why the drop in our rankings? We beat three U-12 boys rec teams and the undisputed best 09 team in the world.
Shouldn't all of this be taken into consideration? I mean what kind of show are you running here with FBR?

I agree. Our team has a kids against parents game several times a year. The kids win every time. Shouldn't this be put into the fbr rankings? I mean the parents are a pretty good team.

I think it could be that the tournament was so weak that even beating up on older rec. teams in Waco means very little. It does seem thought you got a lot of touches on the ball.

I'm not ashamed to admit that I have nightmares about both of my DDs' teams having to square off against the '09 Pink Ponies.

With that being said I'd say the top 8 are pretty set and their rankings are pretty fluid. Some teams it will be hard to judge (LP rush for one) since they got stuck in TGPL silver but they've shown they can have success against the top tier.
Thanks for the update, makes it fun.

I'm sure DTS will continue to drop as they start having more games drop off their history and since there's no way to weigh wins against boys teams its pretty fair. Doesn't change the fact they are one of the top teams in this age group even if they drop a few more places. No real beef with RASE being #1, someone has to be and they seem as deserving as anyone. Wins over all but 2 of the top 10 in the last 6 months and only one loss apparently (I think games settled by Pks count as ties in the FBR).

I agree, RASE for the purpose of rankings is where it should be. I think adames will fall in these rankings but in the real world can contend for that #1 spot. QT should be very interesting this year.

Not according to Gophers...
You might want to PM him as to a specific game?
