I believe that space was 11-0 between 1 and 2.

But I digress there really is no need to Metion RASE 04 in the 03's. They have a pretty good RASE 03 team to talk about. In fact you could leave RASE out of the 04 talk too.

There is little doubt DTX South is clear #2 behind SRSA. We beat Rase and Sting G in the past month.

i would say there is considerable doubt given the ducking of playing any 03 teams for months............

There is no clear anything after #1 besides uncertainty. Results after July 1 will start to mean something. Right now, you have teams ranked in the 15-25 range that can play and be competitive with 2-5. Is that because they are solidifying? Is that because of guest players on either side? Who knows.

2-20 will be shaken up dramatically in the next month. You already see the players circulating and you already hear about which teams are dissolving and wont make it to July. Coaches are falling into 3 categories:

1. Those who are scrambling to just add numbers to make a full squad
2. Those who are trying to hang on to what they have
3. Those who are having to make tough decisions based on quality, roster space and positional needs

The logical answer for #3 is second teams or in LP and Stings case, multiple teams but these can be fickle as many want to be on the perceived "top team". LP Rush, FCD-P and Sting West have done a good job of retaining and attracting players although they are not necessarily branded the "top team" in their club. IMO, any of these 3 have the potential to beat their own clubs "top team" at any given time. Having multiple solid teams gives these organizations latitude to move players around without much resistance and will only make them stronger in the end due to retention.

Actually the last two games between these two teams were a 0-0 tie and 1-0 win for DTS.
The 5 games before the PT tournament were 4 wins for DTS and 1 for LP RASE/daligsh (same team different name) DTS seems more consistent.

Why does any of this matter? Most every team will change July 1. What is 2-50 now will be turned upside down and sideways. Even the top teams are still advertising that they need players. It's a land grab and DD is the land. Clubs will gather as many players as they can, make all sorts of unfulfilled promises and sort it all out by July 1 by creating new teams. There may very well be a new number 2 team that is made up of 3 players each from the top 5 teams. Who knows? The only constant will be change.

The teams that aren't actively recruiting right now, those teams sitting on there hands feeling comfortable about their roster of 13 or 14 players, are the ones probably most likely to get blind-sided on signing day.

DT South has been the #2 team for the last 3 years....so that is pretty consistent..and I heard they handled up in a boys league last season...so until they start losing consistently I would say they are ranked where they are because of their performance.

DT South didn't play boys to my knowledge. SRSA and Sting G did, and only SRSA waded into the big-boys league.

DT South played SDL Boys G (saturdays)...I think. SRSA and Sting G played in the UAL Sunday boys silly league.

SRSA played in the Primetime Gold division against the top '03 boys teams in the area.

In addition to the top boys league, SRSA also played in the Sunday UAL boy's league with Sting G and dominated the boys and Sting G.

RASE 03 gets my vote for #2
Undefeated in TGPL Gold and allowed only 2 goals.
Plus LW seems to always be reloading....with what seems like an endless supply of talent.

I stand by my assessment for the past 5 months. Two through 5 are pretty much interchangeable in my mind. Right now I have zero problem with how they are ranked and three weeks ago I had no problem with how they were ranked.
If those four teams all played in a tournament again and if you put 6 through 15 in that same tournament, I'd guess 70% of the time those four would all make the semi finals.

DTS is the most offensive of the four, and if I had to pick someone to be #2 Id stick with DTS. RASE would be my number two if they had a little more offensive firepower but from the little ive seen they are good at getting the ball around the box but no real closer right now. Sting G is the most physically imposing of the four and has some really skilled girls that are good at getting the ball out of the air and quickly back down field. FCD Gold is starting to get multidimensional on offense which should only help them down the line.

After that you have the teams like FCD prem, LP Rush, Sting West, LP Keegan and Defeeters Hilliard that just keep hanging around and at this point that's a good thing. These teams can benefit greatly by some of the movement on rosters that's bound to happen.

This is the last of the crazy days for a while so just relax and have a plan B for when new kids start showing up at your practices.
