IMHO, this is what I believe the top 8 are based on what I have seen throughout league play and tough games. Not Computer Generated Rankings.

1. SRSA - No Doubt they are the Best
2. DTRS - High Pressure team that gets the ball forward and individually Skilled, Deadly crosses very effective.
3. FCD East - Have that Special Player, but just above average as a team.
4. LP Rase - Their Get it to the fast kid up top mentality works for them and coincides w/British coaching influence.
5. Sting G. - Kick ball team and a Kid that can smack it from 30 yards out. Not good soccer but it works.
6. FCD Premier - Best Possession Team. Technically sound, individually skilled; they play good soccer but Lacks a Scoring Machine.
7. Sting West - Good Athletes but not very technical, blue collar team.
8. LP Rush - Kick it Forward to the big kid also works for them, other than that just average.

I think Top seven are Legit! 8 and on is a toss up.

Yep, I think Fever should be thrown back into that mix as well. Their litmus test will be this weekend.

Lol. Having watched these teams some of your comments are somewhat off.
FCD premier is not a possession team. They have a super big kid who they hope will bomb one in from 25 yards. Sting West plays well as long as they borrow half of sting g to play. It will be interesting to watch teams play with real rosters...

I'd still go SRSA, DTS, the RASE but right now only because I've yet to hear anything that leads me to think any of these teams are in real danger of losing their cores. Yes there seems to be another rumor about SRSA but to get excited about hearing another rumor about them would be like being excited to hear there's a sale at JC Penny's. It happens every week.

Pretty fair assessment of some of the teams wrong, others I might disagree with to some degree. I'd say that top 8 of yours is pretty solid, juggle 2-5 any given weekend and juggle 6-8 (with maybe a Fever, and Defeeters H added into the mix).

IDK that I agree with you, they keep the ball well and play well under pressure. Not sure about who the big kid you're talking about is? I thought they were small up top. I don't see that coach changing his style of play. My older DD plays against his U14 team and it's the same possession based style of play. Can you elaborate on the big kid, I honestly have not seen them w a big kid.

I don't recall a big girl on FCD Prem either. I wouldn't call them the best possession team either. Nice team that generally plays to the level of their competition right now, which is a reason why they've struggled at times against teams in TGPL. I think they are easily a DI team but they are lacking consistency right now. However I hear they practice all the time so they will either get better quickly or they will wear themselves out. Time will tell.

Well we could just describe these teams as the teams not playing the blatant up and over kickball. It's not Barca possession, but at least it's not the BU&OK. !!

Don't know why but for some reason I thought she was on FCD Gold. When I think of taller forwards I tend to think first of the one on Sting Parker ( I think it's Parker).

Its the same player about 5'4 or 5'5.  She was with Diaz, joined Gold and went back to Diaz from what I'm told.  Saw her on a picture with Premier after the last tournament they won.  She wasn't a forward with Gold I don't believe but she does have a big leg and can hit it from far outside.

Other tall girl mentioned plays forward for Sting Goodman.  She is just as tall and you need to get out of her way or she will run you over.   Little people beware.  :-)

No offense to this specific player...but "big and tall" is so overblown. Most are unable to move quick enough for quality speed of play and will be moving to sport better suited for their inherited gifts in another year.

Bottom line for all players, all ages...can they play?  Period.

I totally agree, even soccer coaches fall for the American ideal of a player,  strong and big. Soccer is a skill and speed game and coaches always want big kids instead. scratch
