Thanks to the City of Arlington. Said standing water and only 1 playable field.

Have not heard about a refund, but they don't want refunds they want to play. And the last word was that there will be more info in the next few days. Who has a few days when qualifying is supposed to be starting then? 

Did it rain that much? We finished our last game around 415.

It poured, but who would have thought 30 mins of solid rain would cancel a very important tourn.

bad decision, no way it rained enough that they couldn't have played some games later tonight and all day tomorrow.  We played 3 games there this weekend and the fields were dry so I don't see how the amount of rain that moved through there called for canceling the tourney.

Someone made a very poor decision.  I know they will come back under the force field of player safety but I don't buy it.

Complete nonsense. They're calling for snow flurries in Antartica. All soccer in NTX is canceled until the rapture.

Glad we didn't sign up. They should play the remainder of the games tomorrow. Just turn it into a friendly if that's possible

It stinks. I wasted money on a hotel room. I feel sorry for the out of town teams that chartered buses and rented rooms for two nights. To all those that consider Puma over Tut in the future - don't. FCD has more field control.

Completely absurd. Easier to cancel and take the money than to think through rescheduling and giving everyone what they paid for. Refunds? Be real. Someone is enjoying a cold beer and a day off.

Man the puma cup just made a killing! I Agee not trying to play games and just canceling is a bs move. Great job city of Arlington, RIP puma cup!

This tournament should be put on the banned list!

Sounds like they have better drained fields. Our local soccer association has better drainage it seems. At least they can play in the rain.

Very true. The FCD fields drain well, and when one of our games was cancelled due to a downpour on Saturday night of the 2012 King Tut, the TD worked overtime to find us an extra game on the next day- even though it was a team outside of our bracket, and not on the original schedule.

Are they going to at least update their latest scores?

Wow....why all the anger??  I can tell you they were not happy in the least of having to cancel the tournament.  Arlington just spent a ton of money on those fields, which you could tell they were in very good shape, so I'm sure they didn't want to have to do a ton of repair.

I was there and there was a lot of rain, a lot in a span of 10-15 mins that streets were flash flooding.  I left about 45 mins after they cancelled and there were still a ton of puddles on the fields.  They were not playable and no way were they going to dry enough to be able to reschedule all the remaining games.  

It sucks but you know what...it happens.  At least Lightning has offered to prorate the tournament and will refund the difference.  Sounds honorable to me.

Guarantee it won't be e last tournament cancelled in your DD's career....you can bet on it!

Well, they just made a lot of that money back for the fields.

I was there, and I disagree with respect to being playable.  They will be dry tomorrow by 9:00 am.  They should have cancelled the finals and just played the schedule out.  I feared that this tourney would be sorry when they had just finals rather than semis and finals in many brackets.  Disappointed.

The drainage has been bad for years. They are lumpy, bare patches, sloped wrong, etc etc. They should have fired the grounds crew years ago. They spent all the money on new sod because they let several fields die. Rip off.

Not real sure we will play this one again....to cancel tomorrow is bs

The teams from Mexico are going to be able to play Friendly tomorrow.  So that's good for those kids since they travelled a great distance.

Don't know what you were looking at but the fields were awful
