Anybody on the soccer board have a child that plays volleyball? Is there a forum board? Can anybody recommend somebody for private lessons?

rudder, you got all the answers, i love it. Coppell, Lewisville area. 8th Grade, needs help serving. This is our first year playing Vball, so i am sure the entire game needs improvement. haha

PSA Force would be a basic place to get started. Their coaches offer private lessons. Any volleyball club would offer the same.

Nitro Volleyball has lessons in Carrollton. I think a club practices at IAD as well.

thanks weatherbug, so i guess you have a dual sport kid as well? lol... is it possible to play Vball and stay on a select soccer team?

KVA (Knights Volleyball) practices at IAD. My daughter played for them. Ending up quitting because the way they treated the girls were awful.

One of mine plays for Skyline Jrs vball club and we use one of their excellent coaches for privates. He's also a varsity vball coach for one of the local high schools, and whipped her into great form for school tryouts. Plano's far to drive, but like above said most of the clubs offer the same type of skills and private training sessions. Here's a good place to start.. http://ntrvolleyball.net/junior-clubs/

We also run across advertisements/flyers for volleyball skills on the desks and bulletin boards at some of the indoor sports facilities.

(For the record, generally speaking, I've found that club volleyball parents are not quite as off-the-wall looney as we are)
