Highland Park in particular will ALWAYS keep their enrollment a bit below the 5A level....and they do do this by busing their lowest performing students to 'special ed' schools in DISD....and have done this for YEARS....the football program runs HPISD.

Heard the state either already has formed or is looking at forming a "6A" category - anyone know the threshold for that?

The new 6A is going to be the same as the old 5A.

UIL is simply splitting Class A into A & 2A. The former 2A-5A simply get bumped up and are now 3A-6A.

Got it, thank you.    Sounds like a "these go to eleven" type thing.    It's one louder.
