'05 Girls FBR Rankings - 03-12-14

Current Rankings include game results from 10/22/13 through Present Date. Game results from weekends of 10/12-10/13/13 & 10/19-10/20/13 were dropped from the history since the last rankings were posted.
Notes:
1) As stated above, games from the weekends of 10/12-10/13/13 & 10/19-10/20/13 were dropped from the history. If you don't think a team's movement from 2 weeks ago looks appropriate due to their results from this past week, it is likely due to a difference between the new games added vs the old games dropped from the history.

LA plays LP Gerrard on 3/22 in TGPL '04 Silver. A win in that game will put LA up much closer to where we are used to seeing them.

That is the top team, I believe. But you raise a good question: where is the second team? There used to be an "A" and a "B" that showed up in the December 5th FBR.

My understanding was that the Lady Aztecs '05 "A" and "B" teams from the past couple of seasons was a case of too many kids for a single team, not enough kids for two separate teams. So there were kids that were only on "A", kids that were only on "B", and a group that floated between both "A" and "B".
This spring, I have only seen a single '05 LA team signed up in any NTX academy league ('04 TGPL Silver). I'm assuming that this means they have consolidated to a single '05 roster for the Spring.

The Black team had 3 06 girls leave to an 06 team, 3 other girls left for other teams, and 3 moved to the blue team, which didn't leave much of a team. So the rest of us had to find a new team. And they weren't coached by the same person in the last season.

Looking at some CFBAL scores tonight and saw the 06 Kicks tied #7 Solar White Pulp then beat #1 Hyypia. I know those Kicks girls are exceptional and not taking anything from them, but those are some unexpected results for playing the top 05 teams. Did Hyypia have too many girls out helping Carragher or Gerrard? What’s the story there?

Will Kicks 06' be added to the 05' FBR?
They are included in the '05 FBR calculations, but I remove them from the final published ranking list. This is what I have done in FBR for the last 3 years with any younger team that is playing up in age group.

Come on guys. There's nothing wrong with asking the question. I think the problem is that there are a few girls that probably played in 4 games that day for the various LP teams and they were just gassed by the end of end when this game occurred. That's the risk you run with sharing players. It is nothing new. But you also have to give credit to Kicks. They are playing very well.

Good thing those Kicks girls didn't play in more than 1 game.

Don't be surprised at any outcome w the Kicks on top. If you haven't seen them play yet this season, I suggest you do. They are a very quick, skilled team. Just because they are 06's doesn't mean they can't beat the best 05's. It seems that each age group has a team with the same type of success playing up.

We were fortunate to come out with a win. However, all I really care about is competiting. I was worried we would be wasting the 05s time when i decided to move divisions. We hope to continue to develop and give the 05s a good game.
