D'feeters has the easiest bracket. Andromeda and a 2nd tier TX rush team. I don't see the team from England adjusting to the TX heat that will make it's presence known. They will wilt like lettuce in the sun.

Again, I am disappointed with the way this tournament was bracketed. Unless rankings and match histories are meaningless, the tournament appears to have been laid out to this result:

1st First Place Team: World Class
2nd First Place Team: DTX ECNL
3rd First Place Team: NJ Stallions
4th First Place Team: DFeeters
5th First Place Team: Solar ECNL

1st Second Place Team: Ottawa
2nd Second Place Team: Rush
3rd Second Place Team: Sting ECNL

A: Unless the Canadian team proves to be something unexpected and gives DTX a draw, DTX should take 3 wins, but with less GDiff than World Class.
B:  After OSU's performance last year, they should've been better ranked in this tournament and put into the D bracket . Solar secures bracket on with close win over OSU or GDiff.
C:  A competitive bracket, with no easy wins, but the Feet should advance (but they've been messing with my prediction mojo the past month).  
D:  NJ will take the bracket, and Sting ECNL draws a wildcard with close wins and ties.
E: World Class should win this bracket and the 1st QF spot with GDiff.

A good opportunity for the NTX teams to show they can compete with a national powerhouse team. Seeing as WC has outscored our top 3 ECNL teams combined, I really don't anticipate anyone rising to the occasion.

Give me WC and I fear they could lap the field.

We played WC about 18 months ago and they were very highly ranked then. It was our first game after signing and we were not the better team that day. That said, we regrouped in the second and tied the half. That could be because we got up to speed or because they benched their star forward or moved her back to midfield. I know we walked away wanting to play them mid season.

I don't put a lot of stock into the goals. I know they have a prolific forward and are very solid and deep. I would be shocked if they are not competing in the final four but I'd be more shocked if they "roll" through this field. I'm sure they have gotten better since I last saw them but I know the teams here have gotten better. It will be fun to watch.

You know, looking at it, you never know which underdog will have a stellar moment, hour, day or weekend. Besides, I just love rooting for the underdogs! if nothing else, they can be great spoilers. Yeah underdogs!   

While I have no doubt World Class is an excellent team...they are winning the games they should and are very close against opponents with a winning record.

Makes sense and I think that was what I was trying to say. They are certainly capable of winning the whole thing but IMO, there are several teams that are capable. With WC, I don't think I giving away a spoiler. Their forward is FAST. We watched game before and said she was fast and we needed to mark her close.

I'm not sure she was laughing but she was GONE. 1-0. Again, that was 18 months ago and the defenses are much more in depth now. She is not by herself on that team but she is a major gun that if you can control her, you equalize greatly.

Can't argue with the great numbers, but I am now skeptical of the two divisions that play in the NE Conference.

-WC scored 51 GF against 4 teams alone
-the bottom 5 teams in the (of 6 teams) New England division have given up 222 goals...
- the bottom 6 teams (of 12)in the conference PPG isn't impressive:
1.06 (2nd place team in NE Divsion), .94, .88, .67, .33, .13

Oh my gosh, in my angst over the stacked brackets, I didn't do proper research and now have to change my predictions!! Hold the presses!

Me too...especially if they're in a 4-4-2. I'd pay money to see WC in a 4-5-1 vs Solar as well.

Mustangs have a nice team and played well. Ottawa was just a bit deeper. Ottawa is Provincial champions (state) and looked well coached. They are just starting their spring schedule.

Stampede probably left two points on the field but it was closer than I suspect many thought was not one sided.

Scouting report on WC first half. (Yes, I took the day off). Forward is still lightning. Catalyst but well supported on all sides. Only weakness I see is that they look like their games have been too easy. Defense gets out of shape. Too many lopsided games. That said, their best player may be their CB that has the ability to clean up all the messes. NM2K is outgunned but they are very game. Certainly not going to roll over.

1-0 WC half on a misplayed ball by keeper. Both teams have hit posts or had great opportunities so far.
