03 Winners & Losers

Here is my stab at it.
1. SRSA- solid pick ups from DTS.
2. Solar (Gold)- solid pick ups from DTS
3. LP Elite- weathered the storm solidified with pick ups
4. Sting USA- solidified with  FCD Premier dd's
5. Sting Hilton- only got stronger with additions of Gutierrez dd's
This is where it gets tricky... My next three stayed stable and added pieces to help solidify the team. Not sure how the new additions will impact play but there is something to be said about stability.
6. Dallas Texans
7. Cosmos
8. Fever
Next two lost so many players that it may take half a season & lots of tournaments to gel.
9. DTS
10. FCD Premier

D2
1. LP Rush
2. D'Feeters- lots of new faces
3. FW Black - stable with key additions
4. Andromeda-(?)
5. Sting Goodman- shuffling up top should help them
6. Dallas Texans- Mid-Cities (Sting-West)
7. Triumph
8. FCD Red- are they the same team? Did some move up to help Premier?
The last two lost so many players that it will be hard to regroup.
9. LP Keegan
10. LP Barnes

D3- Don't know enough about the teams. Maybe someone else can guess.

 

I find it hard to say ALL players on Barnes were replaced with "upgrades", based on the outcomes from the previous tourney Barnes played in and came out with 0 points against an APL team at that... Unless this team finds a way to score goals "and the past" indicates that scoring is not a strong suit for them. The DDs that left were some "very" significant pieces, I don't think they will finish 10 in D2, but the top is a "long" way away for this team...

 

 

Wow, it is always amazing how defensive the LBarnes folks are. I am simply making an observation - I am an 01 parent, I just happen to have seen the past tourney for many of the Div 2 teams lately since they usually play just before my DD. I would have to say that Defeeters, Rush, FWFC Black are the cream of the crop. I saw 2 of the girls from Barnes play for Sparta last weekend in the Kyle Owen while my daughter played on the next field, and my daughter happens to know those 2 girls and pointed them out to me, and they both contributed greatly to a tie against Fever and a PK win against FWFC Black in the semi finals and a loss in PKs to Fever on 9 shooters deep, not to mention the loss of the center mid fielded to a Div 2 rival, since I saw her at the same tourney playing against Sparta. I hope you are right about upgrades, I just find it hard to believe that at least 6 girls can be upgraded south of I20 knowing the other higher ranked teams that exist in that area- then again I am from the Northern area...

I thought AG was still going to keep her team b/c JD will not be able to play in NT sanctioned events. Are you saying Sting USA is AG's team except when JD takes them out of NT?

What happened at DTS to cause multiple defections?

Your posts seem to indicate that you would like LP Barnes to get a little more respect, but then you write a post that shows little respect for your former teammates and coach.

 

I can see where the argument is, it is important to remember the folks that got you to the dance in the first place. There have been many defections, I heard 4 to 1 team in the "south" and another to a D2 Rival. People come and go all the time, but remember they "the past DDs" didn't call you out so don't single them out either- that shows very little class...

Ditto. You sound bitter. Thankfully, I assume the coach / club put an end to the managers nonsense. Good for them. Dealing with a manager that would get on a board and insult the previous players / coach is not a team I would want my dd on. But, that's just me. To each their own.

IS SRSA going to play in the 02 division?

If so who moves in to take that spot? Or does LP Keegan move to D1?
