Soooooooo, How are the 01 teams looking now that the dust has settled for D1 & D2. Have there been any good pre season matches? What teams are looking like the teams to beat?
D1
How will Andro, TSN & Texans FW match up with the Dual Rosters.
D2
Will any one take Sting North in D2?

As for the D2 question, I'd say the favorites start with (but aren't limited to) Kicks Gold and Sting East Gray. Sting North should be able to compete with Texans Red North, Diamonds, etc.
Looking at D1, no clue. At least, publicly.

Well that all sounds great, but Kicks Gold/Sting East/Texans Red North/Diamonds/Liverpool will have plenty to say about it.
Does anyone have a clue as to what these teams have done in the off-season? Wouldn't they be favored unless there has been significant turnover?

Hey ahnc - i agree in watch over the last years it is rare for teams to fly right through the ranks. I can not remember it happening recently, but it may have with a team or two.
Since some teams did not actually have the big ECNL drama like KICKS, I think they are well positioned to win D2. Additionally, why does TFC-BLUE-STING think they are better that there sister STING teams. Is there any recent tournament play that suggests they will beat their own club teams. It would probably be best to just say STING will win D2 with a 3/10 chance....haha.

BTW: D1 I can not see anyone disrupting Juan Martinez's KICKs - they are really good.

I don't think anyone from the Sting North team thinks they are going to blow through. I think they are generally pretty subdued in their assessment.
I think the rest of us are looking at their play in State Cup and the lack of substantial changes to the team in spite of all the ECNL drama. Really good coach and some really solid, team oriented, players.
AND its fun to put all the unrealistic expectations on a team and then wait for it to play out. They are the underdog that a lot of folks want to see do well.
