For those that might not think about it!

I went to the TCU VS SMU Women's Soccer game last night. We had a fantastic time and it was so affordable!

For those that love women's soccer. I highly suggest to show your DD's what they are playing so hard for. My DD thought she was meeting celebrities when the girls from both teams came into the stands after the game. Got autographs and pictures that she will remember forever.

The stadium and the field at TCU is first class and the weather was perfect. We cannot wait until the next game!

Just wish the quality of soccer was a little better. Many U10 teams can pass the ball better.

Well I guess you won't let your DD accept a scholarship to TCU or SMU or any school lower than North Carolina,  Stanford or Florida. You sure are setting the bar pretty high. You need to go ahead and send a letter to all of the other D1 schools letting them know your DD is too good for them. What an ego and they probably don't want you there either.

If my dd is even still playing soccer by college and was good enough to get a scholarship I would prefer she went to rice or Yale or tcu for the education. Notice I didn't mention smu.

Wow, way to read WAY to much into it. I took my DD to the soccer game last night hoping to give her examples of proper transitioning from defense to offense, switching the field, and other examples of what makes a well played game special to watch. She watches pro soccer on TV all the time, but you never see the entire field, they are grown men, and their professional play, while something enjoyable to watch, is something that she knows she'll never be able to achieve. While D1 soccer is a long way down the road and something that she probably won't ever have the skills down the road for, it is something she should be able to appreciate and watch and learn.

What we saw instead was a lot of direct play from the defender straight up the middle to the covered forwards on the other end, very little switching of the field, very few times making more than three passes, and hardly ever passing the ball back. While the girls are obviously very gifted physically and do have skilled, we were disappointed in the style of play. I felt like she would learn more by watching a team like '04 Elite or '03 Solar Red.

As much as I hate to say it, "You're correct with the quality of play". We've been to the last couple of games including the TCU/SMU game.
When you look at the resume of the players I thought they would be smarter with their soccer IQ.  I have seen better games and ball movement in Lake Highlands.
However, it's a nice family outing and an excellent stadium.

UCLA against UT last night was the game to see. UCLA was everything you'd expect from high level college soccer. UT struggled and got out lucky with only a 1 - 0 loss.

We have gone to a few TCU Women's soccer games over the past few years. Kids love the campus as well.
