When Does U15 Kick in?

This year and last year, the 01's played games at 30 minutes in the U14 Bracket.

When does U15 @ 35 Minute halves kick in?

Seems to me like this year was a mistake and should be U15 @ 35 minute halves.

This is my understanding of how this works.

Regarding Playing Year: North Texas Bylaws
"The period of August 1 of the prior soccer year through May 31 of the current soccer year is considered the soccer-playing year for competitive players."

So your "U" status does not change until August 1st.

If you are referring to LHGCL QT tournament, then the format was set at the start of the tournament. So you are U14 until this tournament is complete. U13 & U14: Two 30-minute halves.

Most tournaments play mini games to get all games played and have time to transition to next game within 1hr 30 minutes.

Once league play begins then age groups will play full halves. LHGCL defines U15 & 16: Two 40-minute halves.

Why were the 01's set as U14 the year prior?
