This FBR post includes all posted games May 14, 2015 to present. Only teams with 3 or more posted games during the FBR posting period appear.   FBR is presented in WLT not WTL.   If you are an AP05 or AP06 team now and want that name reflected please let me know and change the name in gotsoccer accordingly.

It never ceases to amaze me about how strange this "ranking" has become. First, Sting Fuego (record 12W-1L-2T) beats Kicks JM (8W-4L-4T) last weekend (1-0) and ends up ranked below them, despite the much better record and head-to-head win. Second, Fuego's total points last week were 57, now they are 46???

Also, how does a 4 Loss and 4 Tie team (Kicks JM)....AND a 5 Loss & 4 Tie team (DTS Adames) stay ranked that high? I guess it pays to have your team excluded one week and included the next, huh?

At the top, I would assume that Kicks, Solar Red, and Sting Black will all work itself out when they play head-to-head, but based on how other head-to-head matches are being treated, I'm not so sure. This "ranking" it just silly. Maybe you can sell it to the NCAA Selection Committee. It makes about as much sense as they do.

LOL....was also wondering how teams go from 15 to 48, 16 to 42 and 18 to 53 in a week.

Was last week way off or this week? Shocked

Quite frankly, where some of these teams are ranked simply doesn't pass the eyeball test, so obviously some of the assumptions put into the formulas are just plain bad.

Two teams we recently played are ranked 27 spots apart on this thing. The higher-ranked team couldn't beat the lower-ranked team on its best day. Looks to me once you get outside the top ten or so, its like picking stocks by throwing darts.

It does make for a good hump day laugh.

BW found the problem. I will repost later. I deleted a forfeited game from this weekend right before posting and it threw some things off.

The correction won't address the relative ranking of Sting Fuego to Kicks JM or DTS Adams. Those should stay relatively unchanged. I will let FBR06 handle the explanation for that unless I am otherwise asked to do so.

The correction will adjust the total ranking pts. back to where they should be, and will address and fix many of large jumps and drops seen below the top 10.

Thanks for checking, and making the proper corrections.

That still doesn't explain how a team that wins a head-to-head match-up can be ranked lower, especially with a MUCH better record. But, I don't want to dredge up the past discussions from last week, so I guess I will just "Let It Go" (as I fade to singing....great, now that song's stuck in my head). Smile

While I am working on getting the new posting ready you can go thru Fuego and JMs games and compare your wins losses and ties to which tiers those teams are in That may help you understand FBR better. You can use last weeks tiers. It all comes down to your strength of schedule for Fuego. Yes you beat JM by one point. But I think you will see some ties in your records against lower level tiered teams. Playing silver at PLD affected your SoS

Wait a minute . Kicks were not supposed to be on FBR. Sad This story never gets old.
And fuego, fbr06g suggests : you should have played platinum to stay above JM. Wait a minute, you have two full squads while JM is still player hunting via FBR.

To me it does make sense, having full squad and playing in gold rather than pretending to have one full team and pulling stronger players from other teams from same club (cpp) and stack the points and recruit.

There are no two full squads and  eeeeveryone knows except the stupid wannabes that want to join u in ur mission.  Btw, I have never had a thought to bring my child to kicks nor am I a recruiter and the kicks parents who brought their kids to sting tryouts know what I meant. Two full squads and no pretending here

Suurrree you haven't. Just every post you've had has been about kicks. If you're so happy, then why concern with kicks? Jealousy perhaps.
Good thing you have numbers, once parents start realizing kids aren't learning soccer, but to just stand in the box and kick it out, you will need those numbers.

The revised one is now posted. Ignore the one in this post. I probably won't post the tiers this week. Not much changed from last week. I will continue to post the tiers from time to time but posting them every week is time consuming. And not necessary if not much changed.

I agree.  I am your biggest recruiter/developer you can try to to recruit.  I will call you soon or perhaps we can talk when I  will be playing in a small sided league that you registered and you can recruit the whole team.
