UAL Fall Registration OPEN

UAL (United Academy League) now with 6 different associations is excited to announce the 9th season of academy league play for boys and girls U7-U10.  Rowlett Youth Soccer Association has now joined the UAL team.  Games will now be played in Allen, Carrollton, Farmers Branch, Frisco, McKinney, Plano and Rowlett.  UAL provides the option of Saturday only play and Sunday only play with both leagues offering the same playing formats and division options.  All 2007 teams will have the choice of the 7v7 playing format or the 9v9.  UAL also offers an extremely competitive registration rate:

2010’s   4v4   $500.00  30x20 field   max roster 8  no keepers   4x8 min quarters
2009’s   4v4   $525.00  30x20 field   max roster 8  no keepers   3x15 min quarters
2008’s   7v7   $655.00  50x30 field   max roster 14                       2-25 min halves

curious why 9v9 is even being offered with the fact that the mandate from US soccer calls for 7v7?

back to old NTX soccer as usual. will we see 9v9 for the U9s as well... "we need to get ready fro the year that we get ready to jump to 9v9"

It isn't uncommon for academy to want to play the format they are going to play in the next year. Remember when the 05's were playing 11v11 at U9.........those poor little players were needing a stretcher after all that running on the biggest field.

I understand the want, but that doesnt mean it has to be done... the mandates (if we agree with them or not) came down for a reason.

As a parent that opted to stay AP simply for the small sided I understand the benefits over the desire to see "real soccer" as some would say.

Over the years I touted UAL as the place to play, Nicole as the one to work it out for any coach and manager... not saying that is changed... but why not lead the pack, stick to the mandate and lets see what comes of it... seeing more time on the ball in a game isnt going to hurt them is it?

It's all demand and supply........you guys demand and I supply. Right after I opened registration the 09's reached out and said hey - we played 7v7 last season and now you have 4v4 listed - can we not play 7v7 so that we don't have to release any players? I get it. There will come a time in the near future were ALL mandated playing formats will be followed without the "extras". Nobody wants to kick little Susie off the team and her best friend because the playing format is now less 3 on the field.
If I didn't offer the multiple playing formats then I wouldn't have any teams register as they would go with those who offer what they want..............no matter the high cost. Just caught in the "keeping up with the Jones".

The mandate starts in fall 2017. By fall 2017, all leagues will be in compliance, including 07's playing 9v9 as u11's.

Not fan of UAL, but I don't see a problem with the 2007's playing 9v9. The year leading up to the QT, would you want your team playing a different format?

You should only offer 4v4 for u7 to u10 in UAL. We all know 4v4 is best for developing players.

Leagues, clubs their all the same. Bottom line it is a business and no one is in the business of losing money. US soccer has zero influence as long as someone is willing to pay for what they want. If their not happy with the product just like the playing time. They leave and find other means of getting what they want.

We all know smaller size would help development.

Who do you think is the Dribble promote bigger size now? The coaches?

You are preaching to the choir. Do the roster numbers and see how numbers of players on the rosters increases money for club and coach. Leagues are under the control of the clubs and teams. If one does not offer what the individuals want. They will find a league that will.
