League Rules Question

Please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but does LHGCL have a rule that prohibits girls from playing up in their first year of select? I'm almost certain that some of the other local leagues (i.e. Plano, Arlington, ect) allow it, but I believe I've been told that LHGCL does not. Specifically, 07 Girls will be entering their first year of select after signing day in July. Could 07's play up with 06's in LHGCL in the Fall if they wanted to? If anyone can share the link to the rule that specifically addresses this, I'd greatly appreciated it. I've looked around but have been unable to locate it.

Bottom line: any player who is Select age can play on a team older than her age group with coach & parent agreement. As long as your age group is U11 for the current soccer year, it's OK.

Have seen PLENTY of 2006 birthday players on 2005 rosters this fall with the switch to birth year calendar. Same for the older age groups as teams didn't want to split. The younger players simply play up a division.

Simple answer is yes
Once a player reaches select age they can play up at any age they wish

Yes, I also knew of an 06 that played up with 05's in Plano during the Fall season and wanted to make sure there wasn't some LHGCL specific rule that I wasn't aware of that prohibited girls from playing up in their first year of select. Seems like the person who told me this was the case probably got passed along some bad info. Thanks so much for the quick reply and the link.

Many misinterpret the North Texas rule about not allowing Playing up until U12 but what the rules state is no U10 can play up. North Texas goes U10 U12 U14 and so on as even years (most of Europe is the same) so hence many misinterpret this as U11's can't play up
