I would imagine Sting lost several of their ECNL players to DA clubs and may just want game time. Who knows, maybe some of those D3 teams will give them a run.
Playing "up" may even it out some, but the ECNL team should still run away with it. Celtic Shirley is a D2 team and could give them a run. They have some skilled players. I don't see DFeeters (kicks) or Spirit North doing very against them. LP and SRFC can play too. I heard both of those teams added some quality players recently. I could see an upset against Sting happening.

Because I like to root for an underdog........ I'll take the over/under on the indie team "SRFC"

Well I stand corrected. Looks like Sting ECNL took care of Celtic pretty easily. I don't see anyone beating them.

Sid and his crew are good guys, but Spirit had a large coach/team departure this summer, leaving them with only 8 select teams. It is too bad, but I fear small Indy's like Spirit won't be around much longer unless they are in locations outside big club reach.

Meanwhile parents clamoring for spots on teams who's sole purpose is to help pay for boys scholarships.
