DA to ban college play in near future

Anyone else heard this? Kind of makes sense to keep the kids on a development track and not letting college ball derail it.

lol..no, I'm still waiting for the supposed/rumored deadline of 1/1/18 for the 3 big clubs to have to decide between DA and ECNL. Not happening? Or delayed?

It would only make sense if they discounted the dues when the kids are in their 20's.

Makes sense. Those pesky colleges have the nerve to play actual matches. Sometimes more than 20 in a season!! We all know by now only training counts.

Where is the decision 1/1/18??? Rumor mill. To Dribble someone to do what you want them to do, does not always work in your favor. Some people really wanted this to occur.

ECNL , making a decision alienating many of the top clubs locally and on the national level at this time would be a poor decision. Until USSF tries to pull these clubs second teams. I believe ECNL should continue what their doing understand they still have a clientele that at this time are still paying the price to be apart of the ECNL process. Now, if USSF produces a second tier league then yeah it would be time to draw a line in the sand and ask clubs to to choose sides.

It's not rocket science Zizou most people already see the writing on the wall. The honeymoon is over for ECNL and the DA clubs. The party starts w the new ones added to the DA pontoon boat w Willie this year that get the red carpet treatment and the one up on the tier 2 and below clubs.

I've always heard college soccer is just kickball. DA might me on to something by just having the kids skip it and focusing on technique.
