Too many leagues!

What is the purpose, outside of yet another layer of money, for a new league in NTX soccer? I hear a lot of folks saying their DD is playing FDL, ECNL"2", DA"2" and so on. Now that some time has passed and most teams are set for the coming year, are there any better explanations around the different leagues and how they'll compete for talent. No doubt that DA has some strong talent, but it has also had many challenges...girls going back down to ECNL. I know this has been discussed here, but I would like to hear some more recent thoughts. Does DA have the staying power that ECNL has had for so many years now?

You answered your question in the first line of your post.

As long as there is demand ($) there will continue to be opportunities for new leagues, clubs, coaches etc.

Fcds fdl team is still looking if you're trying to find a team.

DA - Development Academy
FDL - Frontier Development League - (aka DA2 but not affiliated in any way to DA - created by regional clubs)
ECNL
ECNL2 - not affiliated in any way to ECNL - same as FDL - created by regional clubs
NPL
FCPL - Frontier Conference Premier League (replaces SRPL)
LHGCL
PPL
APL

I'm sure I missed one or two in there somewhere... this is not necessarily in order of best player distribution either and some of these cross pollinate between LH or other leagues regionally.
