Interesting that 3 of the 4 did not play in Classic League but all four did play for FCD DA. Two were originally from Alabama and one I believe is from Waco. Great accomplishments by all 4 and best of luck to them to get the US team to go far. Games should be on FS1 if anyone is interested.

Did Paxton not play Classic League? Edwin Cerrillo definitely did with Dallas Texans (Waco). Look up one of his recent interviews if in doubt where he talks about driving twice a week to practices in the Metroplex and how he came to try out with Texans DA (at 15/16 y/o) and didn't make it. The Alabama guys didn't play classic as far as I know so 2 of the 4.

Brandon Servania (one of the local FC Dallas players) scored the only goal. Paxton Pomykal, Brandon Servania and Chris Richards all started the game. The next game is a must win against Nigeria on Monday at 1:30 PM.

HC Gregg Berhalter is still trying to figure out his player pool. The roster for the Gold Cup was questionable at best with players playing out of position, other players out with injuries, etc. They appear to be headed in the right direction and no matter what the result against Mexico turns out to be, they already went farther than most anticipated.
For the next rodeo, It'd be safe to expect several of the U20 WC players be called up to the USMNT on a consistent basis: Paxton Pomykal, Timothy Weah, Chris Richards, Chris Gloster, etc. Good luck to the team on Sunday

You are correct: opportunities lost. IMO, it was a tale of two halves. The first half was dominated by us and unfortunately, if players don't put those opportunities away, what happened last night happens often. Mexico dominated the second half and they scored on one of the few chances they had.
On the bright side, it's encouraging to see young (especially local) players like Weston Mckennie and Reggie Cannon on the USMNT. Time will tell but I'd anticipate an easier path to the Qatar 2022 World Cup with some of the recent U20 MNT players fully integrated in that roster. Although improbable, some younger U17 players, going to the World Cup in South America later this year, may make the Qatar 2022 World Cup roster.
