Any 02 teams have to do fundraising? For that matter any 01,03,04 teams required to do fundraising? What clubs do.....what clubs dont? What is the rules on fundraising....is it legal to require Academy age kids to do this? I have heard the Texans don't do any in Academy.....are they the exception or the rule? I personally hate it!

TFC academy players can do fundraising if they want, but it isn't required. I know at least one if not more of the girls on my 02 DD's team paid for almost half (maybe more) of their fees this time around. Our meager attempts (read--we personally bought half of what we sold) went to our oldest's tournament expenses.

Our 02 team has done fundraising. We have sold Sonic cards-100% profit, Avon and Tupperware-40% profit, car wash, Cowboy football pools, and a Superbowl pool.

How much goes to the club vs towards the players dues? I understand the players dues goes to the club, but how much does the club take off the top before they start crediting your dues? Are these fundraisers required or optional? Is it ok if a player says no Ty...because they don't need help with paying there dues?

It seems like with TFC they usually credit about half--sometimes a little less--depending on the type of fundraiser.

I haven't heard of a club doing fund raisers, however, individual teams doing a fundraiser for a special event? Yes; Is it typical for an academyclub to have fundraisers? A rec club makes sense, but shouldn't a privately owned and operated club have it's own start-up resources? That may be a question best answered by an experienced club owner. Question

Many of the academy clubs are non profit organizations and can do a fund raiser if they want. The fund rasier would be done to help hold down the club dues and pay for other activities.
