Rankings 04

From what I saw this weekend, and to be fair to all the teams, the rankings should be grouped into three divisions. There are some teams that are up and coming and coached well, but they just aren't ready to play with the top teams.

I've seen some '04 teams with a ton of talent that just won't mature as a team for awhile. I've also seen teams play that I just can't understand how they're not considered higher!

I don't understand how Liverpool Beardsley, Odyssey '04, and Liverpool Barnes aren't up higher. My team has played many of these teams, and these teams have an understanding of the game and the ability to make it happen on the field. I'm hoping that the top teams are all so close that it just falls like this. Also Texas Black Gold is a great D1 Team. They play great soccer!

I saw a post about PSA and I believe PSA is a great starter league for new teams. I can tell you from experience there is no team in PSA right now that plays at the level of the top 10 or 15 teams on this list. Our Team Dominated in PSA, Did very well in DIAL. this weekend we scored 1 goal! It was a nice goal! We worked very hard for that one goal!
The game the top teams play is much different. Anyway my 2 cents worth.

Liverpool Barnes has been climbing up in the rankings more consistently than anyone else. They will probably end up being a top ten team real soon, but they aren't there yet simply because they haven't had any wins over top 10 teams yet. Once they get a chance to play some top tens, they will more than likely be ranked higher.
Odyssey is a top 10 team but hasn't beat any of the top dogs yet and lost to Beardsley last weekend.
Beardsley had a great win over Odyssey last weekend but if you look at their overall results this year, it is very underwhelming. Yes, they are a strong team, but they have had several tournaments where they won zero or only one game. They are probably just a player or two away from being a regular top ten team.
The quickest way to climb the rankings is to beat or tie Dalglish, Solar Kennington, DT North, or DT Bennett. The winning percentage of the top 4 is very strong. Against their own age group, Dalglish has only lost one game to DT South, and had one tie against Solar Kennington. Solar Kennington has won at least 4 tournaments and has 30 something wins and only 3 losses in their age group. DT North has been maybe the hottest team for the last several months and beat Solar Kennington. Texas Black Gold made a name for themselves very quickly by competing well with the top dogs.

I agree that the mark is to beat the top 5, and I understand those top 5 teams are great. TRUST ME I understand!! From what I saw this weekend, the next group are great teams as well.

Don't forget Fever United. I am a Liverpool parent and supporter but I have to give Fever United credit. They perform at a high level and are always in the final two or three every tournament.

I think that once LP Barnes starts playing in primetime, some of the better players in primetime will migrate to them. Then you will see LP Barnes skyrocket through the rankings.

So Dalglish is still the best. Well this was redundant.
