Coaches changing clubs... is Academy even worth it? Empty Coaches changing clubs... is Academy even worth it?

I have a question. How frequent do these academy coaches just pickup and leave a club, steal teams and run to another club. It seems like I hear a lot about that. It almost sounds like a lot (not all) do it in a sneaky way too, like the moving van in the middle of the night. I guess when there is $ involved, I shouldn't be surprised.

Happens all the time! I have an 04. We've been in academy 2 years. In that 2 years she's played for 8 coaches and 3 clubs. Only 2 times have we made the change- all the other changes were coaches leaving, fired, switching clubs etc... Hang on for a wild ride!

My dd has played academy for 3.5 yrs. With one team for 2.5 yrs...and we were the ones that made the change. Been with this team almost a year and I don't see anything changing. So I would say in our experience...it isn't that common. You just hear about it a lot when it happens.
