It is ironic that some schools can be twice the size of others and be in the same district. I think such would be obvious that the larger schools should be much better merely due to a larger pool of players.

If its just about size how do you explain Plano Easts 7th place finish in the same district? They too have a 5K+ student enrollment

In the aggregate yes. The target is an talented athlete with ten+ years of training. Plano West is in a target rich environment Plano East not so much. There are great players in less successful and smaller schools but you need large numbers of trained (High level Club players) the more you have the greater your chances for success. Marcus lost to Hebron on 2/24 because a large number of these target players were in San Antonio at an ECNL event which tended to even things out a bit.

That may not be the cas ein every situation, but for the most part the scales would be unbalanced when a school with 2200 students has to spar a school with 6000.
