We Are Young: NTX Academy Version

While driving back and forth for a recent tournament I must have heard "We Are Young" by Fun a few hundred times. By the end of the weekend it had changed a bit to the following:

Wait a minute DD
Your dad will go pull up the car
You played five games this weekend
So you shouldn't have to walk that far
Too bad you lost the fifth place game
In a six team tournament
But we are still so proud of you
We hope you know you're great
You run so fast and dribble oh so well
But that grass was just too tall
Between the ref and that six foot girl
And the bad bounces of the ball
We never got to your skills
So now that this tournament is over
If you feel like changing teams
We'll take you to guess play

Next week
We can try
To find a better team
Don't want to be stuck in D3
Or Plano Premier

Next week
We can try
One of those top 15 teams
I am sure that their a dream
You'll fit in

Now I know that foot you've got
Gives you a real big shot
I guess that you
You can play for anyone
Well here comes your dad
Oh I am so glad
That we'll try a new team
