Plano D1 Teams

Does anyone have a list of the teams that are playing in Plano D1?

I think if you just take all the teams who are not in LH or Arlington, that should just about cover it for Plano D1! Seriously though if you take the byes in D1, add the top three teams from each bracket playoff, that would be your division 1. I am assuming that they will only have D1 and either a D2 or D3 division (whichever way they go). Just think of D1 as the politically correct, will not offend anyone by not placing in the first group division!

So what is the story with the "LH Div 3 Bye" earned by AFC Black, and DTxn FTW having to play in PT? Why the different treatment by PYSA of two former LH teams?

Also, I thought that PYSA is independent of LHGCL. So that a team moving from Div 3 LH needs to qualify and does not get a bye into LH Div 1.

These are the "Guidelines" published for Qualifying Tournament.

BYE’s will be issued in age groups U12-U19 to the top 9 teams Division 1. This will only apply to the Division 1 teams that maintained N+1 and will be based on the combined standings from Fall to Spring of the previous year.

Priority used in issuing the BYES will be:
o 1st-9th in PPL Division 1
o Teams moving from Classic/Lake Highlands to Plano will be determined by points in the Challenge games or Lake
Highlands Qualifier.

Where did you find the unofficial schedule? PPL website shows last years and QT schedules only.

Not fair for us Blues FC, we did not have to play a third game cause it did not matter so we ended in third by default.

How long does it usually take PPL to post results?

Hmm Bruce, I think that will be when the cows come home! Wait a minute that might be too much of a rush for them.

Last year, they posted the results in our age group pretty quickly after both teams submitted the scores. The delays were caused by teams that did not email the game report to the age group administrator.

Dang that sucks.. Thanks for the response though.

There were times that it was the teams fault for sure, but I think it is generous to blame teams EVERY time and on EVERY game in an age division. Don't expect them before Wednesday...Be happy IF they post by then. NO JOKE. Others chime in, but we would wait and wait and it wasn't just the team. It was the league. Ask textiger and some of the others. Intrinsic must have been in another division. IMO, part of the reason that Arlington is seeing some new faces this year.

Yes, I was in 99s. I think each age level administrator (volunteers) are responsible for entering the scores, but I'm not certain. But I agree the speed of the posting varies for different age groups.

It's because the results are sent in via snail mail......using actual snails. Sometimes the snails are run over trying to cross McDermott, then the result postings are delayed.......because of the funeral. I've noticed, when things don't make sense, it's usually because they don't make sense. I wanna know what we're gonna do about all these hit-and-runs on our snails?? Not a single snail made it this weekend!!!

Let's take a moment of reflection for the snails. After all, they found out score delivery wasn't all it was cracked up to be. They thought escargot was a new car from France and was their new ride. They got re-tired by an SUV.
