02 LH schedules are out…Prediction time

It looks like the first week or so of games are posted for Lake Highlands…time to get some prediction talk going…here is how I see the top teams in D1, D2 & D3 shaking out this year.

D1:
1. FC Dallas Premier
2. Solar Red
3. Sting Higgy
4. Texans Stark (the top team..not the 1 who moved up from D3 obviously)
5. Andro Red
6. Fever
7. Sting Brown
8. FC Dallas Blue
9.  Texans Stark 2

I think the Top 3 are obviously really, really close…then a drop off from there.  I wouldn't be surprised if the top 3 are reversed in some other order.  I think Andro will surprise.  They play really really hard and have made some changes.  I'm also not sure what to expect from Sting Brown.  But I know the 2nd Stark team will have a very, very long season.

D2:
1. Solar Red 03
2. Sting Dunstan
3. D'Feeters
4. Saints
5. FCD South
6. Dynasty
7. Celtic
8. Sting Parker
9. LP Thompson
10. Sting North

Solar 03's are obv very very good.  I also have always liked Sting Dunstan a lot too. They have really grown as a group.  After that it is a bit of a crapshoot until they all play some games.  I really don't know what will happen after the top--but my rank is based on teams that seem to have been together awhile and have played pretty high level competition well.  I really like the Saints--they should continue their steady climb.

D3:
1. FCD West
2. Mustangs
3. D'Feeters
4. FWFC
5. Andromeda
6. Cosmos
7. Fever
8. FCD White
9. Texans Red
10. Texans South

I watched a lot of FCD West TX in qualifying and they are the real deal.  I think they will come in and win the league.   Mustangs are always solid, but if they lost their keeper (not sure) then they could slide down a bit.  FWFC has retooled and should be a lot better. Andromeda coulda won the league last year, but I think they take a step back.  
After the top 5 I think it is anyones guess.

In Div I, Fever will win some games. They may end up top five, IMO.

What do you think LH did with the seeding? I expected Texans White would slide into the spot DT South vacated, but it looks like they got more appropriately placed as 9th seed. The schedule shows them playing FCD Premier first game, a privilege reserved for the last seeded team...

D1
Top 3-Solar Red, FCD Premier, Sting Higgy-not sure what order they will finish
Middle 3-Andro Red, Fever, Texans-think Fever and Andro will surprise some teams
Bottom 3-FCD Blue, Sting Brown, Texans-D3 team last year- heard Brown is almost whole new team, how long will it take them to gel?, Starks team was a good, solid D3 team but think D1 will be a struggle for them

D2
Top 3-Solar, Sting Dunstan, D'Feeters, think Solar will win division
Middle 4-Dynasty, Saints, Liverpool Thompson, FCD South
Bottom 3-Sting North, Celtic, Sting Parker

D3
Top 3-FCD Holder, D'Feeters, Fever-think Fever may surprise some folks, they are big and athletic and have a great goalie

Middle 4-Andromeda, Mustangs, FWFC, FCD White-would have put Mustangs and Andro higher but think both teams lost some key players

Bottom 3
Cosmos, Texans Red, Texans South-think both Texans teams will struggle

D1: SRSA, Higg, Grubb
D2: Dunstan, Solar, Parker
D3: FCD West, Mustangs, Fever

SRSA too much to handle in D1, both Sting D2 teams added depth, Solar strong but not the same without super 03's, FCD West will surprise in D3

I sure do hope several of you are wrong in your predictions!

I hope I'm wrong but did Dallas Texans move their DT 03G Red South up to take the DTS 02G spot in D3? Coming from APL to D3 LH, it will be interesting to see how they do...

D1: SRSA, Higg, Grubb
D2: Dunstan, Solar, Thompson
D3: Fcd West, Fever, D'Feeters
D1 I'm not sure what is going to happen with Brown. The top 3 could place in any order. I think fever and texans stark1 will do good. D2 Thompson may surprise some, it could be in any order, no real standouts since fever moved up. D3 fcd west and fever look good, fever needs to be able to finish. Fwfc lost half of its team including the goalie and several other starters, that's not retooling, that makes it difficult and may take time to get together. Fwfc could drop a slot. Mustangs where looking for a lot of players this year so I'm not sure what they will be like. Good luck to everyone and hope they stay healthy.

I think Sting North is going to shock everyone. They have added depth in all areas of the field and just won Texas Summer Classic a week ago. Have beaten Sting Parker twice this past spring and tied them in the fall. They also beat the Saints this spring before the added of several D1 players. I predict they will be a top 5 D2 team this year.

You're not wrong.....it is the 03 team.....similar thing happened last year at U13 DIII and that team won a total of 0 games...I suspect that this 03 team from APL will have similar results.

Solar Red has the talent to consistently beat both FCD and Sting Higgy.  During the last State Cup, they showed that they can gel and play excellent attacking soccer to beat both FCD and Sting Higgy to win the cup.  With additional talent in the backfield and midfield, Solar Red is clearly the best team in D1 especially if their attacking offense continues to mature.  

Texan White is a bottom team here.  No D3 team can hang with any D1 team this season with an exception of Sting Brown which is currently a mix of D2 and D3 talent at best.  So Texan White has one best shot to get a tie or win when they play Sting Brown.  This is D3 soccer playing on a D1 schedule!

Andromeda will a surprise.  They have enough talent in midfield and forward play along with team chemistry and work ethic to overcome weakness on defense and GK.

Fever will show that they belong in D1 with solid play in defense and midfield.  They will beat the bottom 3 teams with ease but they can't hang with the top 4-5 teams consistently without an excellent offense.

The question is the rest...who picked up who and how will they play as a team. Which teams will utilize the player pass to strengthen team at crucial points into the season(fc dallas,sting,Texans)

It is my understanding that they lost half of the 03 team so that team (DTS Red) folded. From what I here, the new team is made up of a few 03 players that stayed along with what 02s could be picked up when it was being advertised as Sal's team. The old bait & switch. Regardless, it will make for a long season.

My predictions are whoever works the hardest to get there.  Lots of teams and lots of movement from across the board.  There are going to be lots of surprises in DI, DII and DIII.  Just to early to say other than DI- probably gonna be Sting Higgy, DII- Solar Red 03 and DIII- FCD West.  Can't wait for the season to begin
