Looks like it won't be until this weekend. The rain extended the Placement games through this weekend due to out of town teams having to travel back to make up remaining games on Saturday. If your team indicated they were eligible for a bye, your coach might be able to email and find out if it was approved.

We have a bye. Just curious on who is going to be in PPL 1 and 2. It sounds like they moved more than the top 2 teams to PPL2 form PPL3. Don't know if moved than top 2 from PPL 2 into PPL1 due to LH and n+1

Seen the list last night but didn't memorize it. They placed the relegated LHGCL teams that didn't re-qualify in D2. Odyssey and Rush Cinza(?) moved up to D2 per plan as well as TX Spirit. They leap frogged Celtic to D2 because Celtic didn't have N+1.

What about FCD Red and LP Scott? Did they move up as well?

I think so....I remember seeing 3 LP teams in D2, had to been Dalglish, Owen, and Scott.

D2 is going to be a tough division! FCRed and Cinza both earned the move up. next would have been Odssey and LPScott (Shamrocks). Then Spirit who finished 5th. That's 5 teams plus Owen and Dalglish. That's 7 of the teams. That only leaves 3 spaces for teams who were D2 or sent there from D1 ( Andro Blue and HPSA Scots). What happened to Kosmos, LP Hansen (? are they gone) WF Xpress, Saints Michel and McKinney Eclipse?

Like most of you mentioned... PPL D2 is:

Dallas Rush Cinza
FC Dallas Red
Liverpool Dalglish
Liverpool Owen
Liverpool Scott
McKinney Eclipse
Odyssey
Saints Law
Texas Spirit
Wichita Express

**Still waiting to have her email me the list that shows D1 through D4

So my guess for D1 would be:

Andromeda Blue
Andromeda West
Dallas Rush Azul
FC Dallas Black
FC Dallas East
FC Divas
Kosmos
Mutiny FC
Solar Chelsea Gold
Texas Thunder

So they moved three D2 spots into D1 for the three teams that went to LH and sent the LH team to D2.

Same case as last year except they didn't make the LHGCL teams go through Placement Tournament this time.

Really? Grant it, I don't know everything about all the teams, but below is my feedback.

PPL D1
Andromeda Blue - Good coach. Couple quality players. Played decent in LH QT and Summer Tourneys.
Andromeda West - Finished 1st last year in PPL D2 Fall and PPL D1 Spring.
Dallas Rush Azul
FC Dallas Black - Finished strong in LH, just didn't make it past Fever & FCD White
FC Dallas East
FC Divas - Seems to always have size and speed
Kosmos - They have size and played decent summer tourneys
Mutiny FC - They made 2nd round of LH QT
Solar Chelsea Gold
Texas Thunder

PPL D2
Dallas Rush Cinza
FC Dallas Red
Liverpool Dalglish - LH team last year; 6th
Liverpool Owen - LH team last year; 8th
Liverpool Scott
McKinney Eclipse
Odyssey
Saints Law
Texas Spirit
Wichita Express
--- all others finished in PPL D2 or D3 last year, so wouldn't PPL D1 be more competitive? I know I am missing something...

Well, in PPL 1 Andro Blue finished 10th last season--should be in PPL2. Kosmos finished 3rd in PPL2 and FCD Black finished 4th. So those 3 teams should still be in PPL2. If they wanted PPL 1 to be strongest they should have put Dalglish and Owen there instead of 2. Pretty much all will shake out in the end though and they will probably be in PPL 1 in the spring. The top finishers in PPL3 with n+1 are now all PPL2 so who knows.

Well in Silver B for this weekend's LDT...

Kosmos - D1
TX Thunder - D1
and FC Dallas Red - D2

All play against each other this weekend, so we'll see how that goes...

I have a couple of newbie questions. What does N+1 mean? And if you play in PPL placement tourney, does that mean that you automatically get placed in PPL 4 div?

TIA

Girlz -  n+1 means you have at least half your team back, plus 1.  (e.g., 16 player team would need 9 to  be n+1) some leagues, like PPL, require n+1 for team to maintain its position for next year.

Re qualifying,  ppl qt was just to determine who would be div III .  Div II was filled from the div III n+1 teams  that moved up, plus 3 that were in II last yr, plus 2 lhgcl teams that fell out of lhgcl.   Div I had 3 teams move up from div II.  All those teams were able to meet the n+1 standard.

Some teams i understand chose not to play in ppl qt and will be placed in ppl 4

SantaFe -

Can you move up or down mid-year? Say for instance if a PPL 2 team does well in their div at end of fall season, can they, before Spring 2015, move up to PPL 1?

That's exactly the way PPL has done it in the past and i presume this year: the top 2 finishers in all lower divisions in Fall will be slotted up to higher division for the Spring, and the two bottom finishers in all the upper divisions will be relegated down a division.

That generally happens also from Spring to following Fall, but PPL reserves right to do whatever for the good of the league. Plus, there is so much change in teams after Spring and Qualifying Tourneys (QT) that it is never certain how Fall will look. Teams move, some blow up, and some just miss N+1.

I should point out in case you have younger ones that the first year (U11) is obviously handled a lot differently and may involve mandatory QT and 20 teams or so being put in the top division in Fall, with the top 10 finishers making up div I in Spring and next 10 div II.
