State Cup guest player rules?

Are teams allowed to use guest players for State Cup?

Yes, but my understanding is only within the/your same club.

No guest players allowed. CPP players are allowed in the older age groups (U-13 and up).

Player must be a registered player with North Texas Soccer for the same club
• Player can only play on one State Cup team for the entire State Cup competition
• The player must be playing in their own age group or older age group – cannot be playing
down to a younger age group
• Total State Cup roster cannot exceed 22 players
• Team has to maintain at least 9 players from league play
• Team can have no more than 5 transfers during the soccer year
• Roster with club pass players added must be submitted no later than 14 days prior to the start
of that age group competition
OUCH

It is doubtful this would occur to this extreme but what I understand is a team could be comprised of 9 of their regular rostered players and then use CPPs to fill the rest, essentially making a mutant big club team. Again, I'm sure it wouldn't go to that level but haven't we seen this occur in league play? During league play did the coaches push it to the limit? Yes, for injuries of course. 
If you have to borrow 4 or 5 players for the State Cup, I would say you might just want to withdraw. Your actual team is simply too injured to play. I contend this is different the a showcase or other tournaments.

Ok, I totally agree. I was cringing thinking that your point was that 9 original was too high a number or something like that, but as is, it will only look like every other tournament...
I have a feeling this plays itself out since most teams playing with club player pools also have other teams playing, and their players will be off limits once they step on the field for their own team.

MM, you are exactly right, except I would edit your comment: replace "coaches" with "Club Sting". Fortunately, they can only assign one player to a team, instead of rotating players to the "team in need" on a weekly basis. What I don't understand is, won't Club Sting have scheduling conflicts down the road with ECNL?
Perhaps Club Sting should use some of these CPP's on their ECNL team.
