Question for all the experienced '03 parents. Is there that much of a drop off between an ECNL team and a D1/Premier/Champions team? Trying to gauge the talent level in non ECNL teams this year and the impact DA is going to have this year on this group.

04 team and pretty darn good from what I've heard...  think they're ECNL though, did they register D1 as well? But there is an 03 team as well heavily mixed with the 03 ECNL team - should be an interesting LH D1 season.

No, also known as CPP...

I have a question about CPP. The rules state that only 1 CPP player may "Play down a division". If the player is not officially rostered on the LH roster, then they would be considered a CPP. Is ECNL considered a "division up" from LHD1?, or can a D1 team use 3 CPP players from an ECNL or DA team?

An ECNL team is considered a registered team equal to a D1 team so 3 players can be CPP'd from an ECNL team to a LH D1 team as long as the ECNL team is registered as a NTX USYS rostered team. They DO NOT need to be a Lake Highlands team for a Lake Highlands team to CPP players. They just need to be registered as such.

That is incorrect.  
There is no limit on the number of ECNL players a team can use so long as they are rostered with a LH team.  If a LH team happens to have 10 ECNL players on its roster, then they are free to use all 10 rostered players if they want.

ECNL and LH are two different leagues run by two different organizations with zero coordination between them as far as players' roster go.


LH D1 is not considered a 'division down' from ECNL anywhere except in the minds of the parents (and to some extent Clubs too).
