FBR09 Rankings August 20th, 2018

Updated 09 FBR as of 8/20/18. Only 09 teams with 3 or more games played since 3/17/18 are included in the FBR published rankings. All games in the U9 leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included.  

FBR09 will also include any 09 teams playing against each other in the 08 division.  As long as the teams that are playing up are not using 08 players when playing against each other 09 teams.

Also, ranking points are derived from who you play and their tier(not your own tier) and, how well the teams you play do.  FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L.  This FBR is the sole representation of FBR09,  any and all complaints(and compliments) should be directed to FBR09.  These rankings use the same software and criteria as with all prior year FBRs.

Alright, this one just doesn’t make any sense to me so maybe one of you that is smarter than me can figure it out.

South adds wins against Cosmos and Colvin and a tie against ESC with no losses added in the update... score stays the same at 67. Not only did they win or tie against top level competition, they improved their SOS which was previously the supposed reason they weren’t ranked higher. Colvin ties Cosmos, and loses to ESC and South but score drops only 1 point... at least it dropped something so that makes some sense. Scarfone has no games drop off, beats Spirit and Willet but loses to Xtreme and their score goes up by 2 points? South had a win over Colvin roll off which was Colvin and South’s only games to roll off. Scarfone and Angelone had no games roll off.

Also, by looking at the records, the games against ESC this weekend are not being reflected but they are for the teams that played ESC in other tournaments before the one this weekend. If FBR just forgot to count this past weekend’s results against ESC in the data, that still doesn’t explain Scarfone’s score going up 2 points. Should FBR pull ESC out of the data altogether or add in this weekend to the rest? Should Blitz United (Oklahoma Team) be in the data since they played 4 games against teams that are in the data?... if not, do they get added after they play 4+ more games against NTX competition in the Plano Invitational in a couple of weeks and get treated the same way ESC is treated in the data?

Anyone understand this voodoo? Obviously, D’Feeters/Rush is #1 and the next 4 are interchangeable but it’s a curious observation.

Fbr can only add games that are against NTX competition in other regions. That Is what the post has said in the past. ESC cant be included in win or losses because this tournament was not held here. That is my understanding. Also remember the games that were deleted on the back end.

Games against ESC in Denver were counted... why would we count ESC games in Denver and not Oklahoma? Also, I did account for games rolling off in my post. The only game to roll off across Scarfone, Angelone South and Colvin in the update was South’s 6-1 win over Colvin.

If FBR counted games in Colorado against ESC that had to be a mistake. I was also wondering why south was so low. There has to be an explanation. They lost 2 to 1 against kicks

I’m not counting ESC vs Colorado. I’m talking about ESC vs Rush in Denver.

Kicks beat Xtreme 3-1 this past weekend and is ranked higher than Xtreme. I don’t think a loss to the Kicks should be punishing South so much. Not a big deal but I think we were all expecting South to get a bump and their score stayed the same.

FBR09 and I are going through..double checking some things... give us a bit... I know I have practice to get to, but we are looking into it.

On thing that hurts the SS(AKA DTS) is playing in a crappy tourney, hurts Strength of Schedule.

We are also looking at the tiers, and making some adjustments. Give us some time but think we are on the correct track....

I could be mistaken but I believe when the supercopa tourney was going on there was mention that any teams that are not NTX could be considered for games if there were a minimum number of like opponents from NTX...Since there were several NTX teams that traveled to Colorado and to the OK tourney, I am fairly certain that ESC has enough games against NTX teams for those games to count in the rankings. Again I could be wrong but that is how I recall the conversation going.
