FBR09 Rankings October 4th, 2018

Updated 09 FBR as of 10/04/18. Only 09 teams with 3 or more games played since 4/14/18 are included in the FBR published rankings. All games in the U9 leagues and tournaments that "publish results" are included.  

FBR09 will also include any 09 teams playing against each other in the 08 division.  As long as the teams that are playing up are not using 08 players when playing against each other 09 teams.

Also, ranking points are derived from who you play and their tier(not your own tier) and, how well the teams you play do.  FBR is presented as W/L/T not W/T/L.  This FBR is the sole representation of FBR09,  any and all complaints(and compliments) should be directed to FBR09.  These rankings use the same software and criteria as with all prior year FBRs.

Updated the tiers and also included games vs ESC, since we already have data on this team and they are a common opponent for NTX teams.

Why did #25 move up a spot? They've lost their good players and aren't as good. Webb has the top fcd team, they belong in the top ten. Please get this fixed and repost.

#27 should be in the 40's or 50's. They use guest players because they have a hard time filling their roster. I think they have anger issues or something.

Midwest.....strong words accusing an independent club of having guest players. Help us all understand which team in NTX never has guest players? FCD? Solar? Texans?

I only have a problem when an independent uses 5 guest players from a bigger club with its own players on the bench. What does it say to its own players. Then the guest players go away and they move up in the standings. Is that fair to anyone. Then just call yourself Solar Elite. The only team you mentioned that consistently does that' is Solar. That is where most of the players they borrowed were from. That's all I'm saying.

You sound super close to this like you have some intel. Are you saying this team benched their regular players to play guest players? What’s the motivation here? Sounds like a bitter parent to me. Was your kid the one benched because she wasn’t good enough?

Nope. My daughter plays on one of the bigger teams. I just observed this team and found it to be amusing. You sound like the bitter parent to me.

So you’ve observed the tea. And can distinguish guest players from regular players PLUS calculated playing time? Sounds pretty creepy to me.

So your Obviously talking about A certain club from the north "elite" We observed them in the said 9v9 tournament and we see them on Saturdays in their 7v7 league,  From what i can tell they only played 2 guest players at a time and only 1 started.  Seems like you are the one holding on to some anger...did they beat your daughters team or something?

All had different uniforms on. 5 players didn't have the same jerseys as anyone. It looked wrong. That is why I stopped. No one had the same jersey on.

Well I heard they headed in 3 goals during PLD!

Still not sure why having guest players is such a big deal? If the "big clubs" can pull players a cross teams to fill in (but coincidentally have matching jerseys) why cant an independent club also have guest players. Who cares if the uniforms are slightly different?

From my perspective, I don’t see the top teams using guest players just to move up in rankings. Sure they may borrow a player or two to fill out a bench or a weak position against a certain team but these teams all have a strong core that are never put on the back burner for guest players.

There is no such thing as guest players. It's academy. Ya'll act like these rankings mean something.

Exactly, and that is what the team that Midwest is referring too did. filled out there bench for a 9v9 tournament when they normally play 7v7

I’ve actually seen this Prosper team play. They work the ball very well and have a ton of talent. Consistently moved up in divisions and based off heir results it seems like they compete against every team they play.

Where did Midwest go?? He can start it, but not finish it? He is obviously new to the forum.

This team is not bad. They played our 2nd team and handled them pretty easily. Fundamentally , they are sound and move the ball decently.

I haven’t seen them make the jump to top 20 yet but I am sure it is coming, good luck to them.

I have no problem with them using guest players. However, the fact is that they did use more than just a few guests in a tourney, at a minimum, which may have materially affected their performance. I know this because a friend whose dd previously played with all those guests saw them playing with this team. It was clear they were trying something out that might lead to all those players possibly coming together, perhaps under the Solar banner, though I don’t know if that scenario has or will play out. No matter, it is junior academy and it really is best for all the teams and players to go against good players. However, I can see how some would take issue with it if their dd was giving up playing time for the guests.

I disagree with the top teams not using guest players to move up in the rankings. There are teams in the top 5-7 that consistently do this. I don't understand why the teams don't just combine b/c that is pretty much what it is. While the core of each may be strong, guest players make rank somewhat meaningless for some of these teams. Aside from ranking, the only people that benefit from guest players are the guest players.
