SDL - Fall Season

Did anyone else hear that SDL will be pushed back to Sept 10th? What about the Andromeda fields...are they available for this season? DYSP needs to update their website. Some of us just can't stand being in the dark!

Ok, just heard from Manager that SDL has been moved back to the 9th.

I know I will probably get killed for saying this but, did anyone play in any tournaments this summer in a 100+ temps?
I appreciate people looking out for our DD's but this is only one game a day in expected temps of 100 deg.the first weekend. Come November will we be canceling because it is too cold? Let's get on with it already!

Last I heard, the first week's schedule was to be out today with the schedule for the rest of the season out on 9/9. That was my understanding but I am no one so who knows!

They are suppose to be out on Sunday.
Maybe Thursday will be the new Sunday

SDL is getting ridiculous. We pay them a lot of money. The least they could do is give us the schedule in a timely manner. Not just the first week, give us the whole schedule. Some of us have to plan around work, siblings games, other sports, etc.

We got the first week's game on the 3rd. Rest should be out next weekend??

I used to say the same thing, but they actually are waiting on other league schedules. Most coaches have teams in other leagues and have multiple teams in SDL. They actually do a lot better job of working around coach's schedule and making things happen.
Be patient, the rest of the weeks will be out very soon.

Joe is absolutely correct. SDL usually does a great job planning around coaches with multiple teams in different leagues. From what I understand one of the reasons for the delay is Plano Premier did not publish their schedule online until Monday. So SDL did not want to wait to release at least the first week of our game play. Since my coach has a select and an academy team I am grateful they wait for the other schedules because unfortuneatly our academy team would probably take the back seat to the select team if there is a conflict.

But SDL was originally going to start two weeks ago. They still don't even have the first week's schedule up on the website yet.
Now that Plano Premier has their schedule published, let's get the entire SDL schedule published so families can make plans.
I think it's great that they are working with coaches schedules, but let's not forget about the customers. If you only have one kid playing and they only play SDL, it's no big deal. But some of us have multiple kids and multiple sports. Some of us have to make plans around our job or business.

SDL not helping themselves with schedule issue

We all understand the good that SDL does with coaching conflicts, but at some point they need to post the schedule even if it has to change later. Surely, a schedule that changes will inconvenience fewer people than keeping everyone in the dark. They can put an asterisk on the games that have conflicts to be resolved later and the rest of us can get on with arrangements for the season. They must realize that all planning for us revolves around the kids activity schedules. 
If we know there is a conflict, fine, we can make tentative plans. I'm sure there is some % of the schedule that will not change, so post the thing already!!. SDL needs to remember, that the parents can influence which league the team chooses next season.

Influence? The big reason why coaches choose SDL is because Jason/Rick work with coaches on things like this. Come on. This is not your world and we are living in it. Be patient.

You're right. Why don't you just quit, ask for your money back and go somewhere else. I've been doing this for last few years, get used to as that is how they do it. I used to say the same things, but welcome to North Texas Soccer.
