02 Girls - 2011 AFC adidas Fall Challenge

My understanding is it was a lot more than 2 girls from Renfro Red. (Grubb) And a lot more teams than just Palmisano that was stacked. Crappy on FCD if it's true.

FCD West had a few "friends" guest play as well, but hey... We had a blast playing the teams that we played. Now we know what we need to work on!

And also agree the others got a tough break; especially the bracket winners that made playoff rounds.

Sorry Bier...I misunderstood your post. As you can tell, you have a better attitude about it than me. Personally, I am pissed. M kid's team should have been at the final..they were a real team.

Definitely not FC Dallas here! We did hope to see how we actually played out with the teams we were up against. Kinda sad to find out the teams that we played (with the exception of TFC) had a few guests. I know it is legal, but we had hope to gauge it based on the teams. Oh well... next week we play the boys in XARA! See y'all in the spring!

Ours was too. Yeah, a little upset, but nothing a beer didn't take care of. My daughter was in good spirits even though the shellacking we took in 2 games. Speed to the ball is one main difference we noticed. The skill, aggressiveness, and such were there by our team. Just speed to the ball...

FCD teams and Solar teams had guest players. Any team was free to do so. This is nothing new. A bit naive on your part to think different. Sorry!

Just not preferred.
Makes it difficult for teams to gauge progress against similar comp.

and... that is why I said it was legal in an earlier post. No naivete on my part. Just would have been nice to play the teams that played during the season is all. It was a good experience for our girls and they had fun.

Relax boys and girls. Some teams were just more prepared to win a trophy this weekend instead of fielding their team, or team to be. Way to go FC!!

Great job Coach Dom with the tournament. It was very well run and I might get yelled at about this but, it also appeared to be pretty well officiated from what I saw. The only let down was that more teams were not allowed to advance to the knock out round. A lot of good teams went home with identical records of the ones that advanced. Could have been some really exciting quarter finals. Besides that, awesome weekend. Look forward to the next one you guys promote.

I completely agree with you space! Seemed to go very smooth...just wished there had been quarter finals as well.

totally agree also wish other age groups were filled .. my youngest only had 2 group games

Are teams allowed to have guest players at league games in Lake Highlands Classic? I know you can't use them in the QT, but is this going to come up in the regular season games? Can't find it mentioned in the rules.

Have to agree Dom did a very good job with the tournament and EAL. Deserves some props.
