It was a good game, East should have won by 3 or 4
Why? What was Dunstans shot count vs Sting shot count?
I don't recall Royal got any real shots. East goalie only got a couple of touches on ball. East had multiple very valid shots that missed just wide. I would say East more than controlled the game.

I have no proof but Sting's unpredictable results must mean they are playing games with their line-up in Gold and Silver. I gotta feeling they don't have enough kids for two teams and are picking and choosing which games they want to produce an "A" effort. I think Searls under-appreciated the Dunstan team and came up WAY short. Maybe he should just build one good team. Seen this movie before. The ending is never pretty when you share and borrow every week.

At least 5 girls who started for Sting against Fever played for Sting Royal against Dunstan.

I thought first half was pretty even, other than the Saints scored. FCD was better team for most of the second half, had Saints backed into their 18, but could not score. Saints hustled but did not get their heads up to connect passes, insteading giving back to the Fros. As it got close to full time, Saints gained confidence and finished strong. Good game for Saints but I would take Fro on a bet next time they meet.
Not sure I would agree with this assessment of the game. The first have was controlled by the Saints. They pressed and had 3-4 good shots and one got in with about 5 minutes left (right through the five-hole). FCD only had 1 shot the entire first half and couldn't even get into the offensive side but twice. The second half there was a strategy change for FCD. They put 5 defenders back on a line to prevent the Saints from pushing forward. This kept the ball out of their own box, but they never had numbers to score (they missed that extra midfielder). The Saint's keeper had 3 great saves. But the defense was solid for the Saints. They won most of the balls in the air and beat the FCD players to the open balls.
I would say the Saints outplayed, outhustled, and outran the FCD team.
First of all, I have no idea what happened in this game but I have noticed some interesting circumstances surrounding the posts of this weekend.
GKdad02 chimes in on the Glotz posts perpetuating what Thumperhuk has resurrected. Thumperhulk’s posts are clearly trying to grind on the Texans/Glotz axe and some 95 Keeper post. (There's the possible connection to keeper play.)
It looks to me like GKdadd02 and Thumperhulk are the same person.
The question is why resurrect all of this now? Is GKdad02/Thumperhulk an exGlotz/Texan who’s DD got some pent up frustration? Or did a ex Glotz player displace GKdad02/Thumperhulk’s DD on another team? Is GKdad02/Thumperhulk’s DD a former Texan’s keeper? Or does GKdd02/Thumperhulk have an axe to grind on big clubs like the Texans, FCD, Sting etc? Sure seems as if this person has a burr under his saddle.

Lots of changes. Don't under estimate what else is going on in the 02s as they move forward.
Don't just lock in on Searls gold or silver being the only game in town (Dallas-wise).

I think the two Sting Searls splitting teams was not a good move...they have seemed to really struggle since doing that. Several Sting teams are obviously doing something right...Sting East Dunstan is a very good team that is quietly playing good soccer. Also, Sting Parker, I haven't seen them but I have heard good things from folks that have played them and they seem to be doing well in SDL.

Dunstan has done a great job and has a little more visibility.
Parker is just quietly going about things.
Very accurate observations on your part.

Don't be a whiner. Start a good topic of conversation. Much better to start good stuff than to whine but then offer nothing. As of rite now, your contribution is whining about gossiping which ain't much.

Awesome games this weekend!
Saints and FCD game was to me as expected!
Was expecting to see some goals from DTS.
Polaris was a disappointing game. Also heard from other parents they lost some players.

You are obviously trying to stir the pot. I like this game...I do not know what your issue is with Polaris but I am curious to find out. Since you want to try and hang dirty laundry out in the open, let’s do this right here on the message board. I have nothing to hide and it seems you are very informed so you should be willing to discuss for all to see. So let's talk facts (not silly assumptions or "what I heard was..."). You have 10 posts so far and 6 of your posts cite Polaris directly. Each of your posts about Polaris are not in a kind manner. You have stated twice that you "would" bring your DD out to Polaris but.... for some reason or another you think Polaris is not a good enough club for you (personal decision, I am ok with that, freedom of choice) You have made statements "why have so many players left Amos's team" and " Amos is always recruiting.... do you keep replacing players?" Your comments lead me to believe you are a parent of a DD who no longer plays for Polaris, or in some way Amos has angered you so now you feel better about yourself when you find creative ways to bash Amos or Polaris. If you truly don’t care about Polaris then don’t post about them.
Oh and about the posts about how Polaris plays kickball.... Look, that is old news already, yes Polaris plays kickball. (We know it, you know it, and the girls know it) But the girls are working hard to get better and connect more passes. Step on a field with teams as talented as the ones they are playing and try to accomplish things like connecting passes when you have amazing athletes baring down on you in a split second. These are not easy tasks. Believe me Polaris knows they have to work on their possession game. There is not a lot of room for error on a field like that and as they continue to compete they will get better. If you want to post about a Polaris game, jot this down. Each game they have gotten a little better, whether it is confidence with the ball at their feet or skill these girls are trying to improve. Less balls kicked to no one for no reason, (I said less) They are a very raw team with a lot of fight. Sorry my DD's team isn’t the best and doesn’t play the prettiest soccer. I am a proud parent, and am very proud of each girl on this team. They have worked their rear ends off to compete.
Ok now back to you Soccer pro, please try not to say bad things, or things that imply negative things about my DD's club. They are just a team trying to be the best they can be. Thanks.

I caught part of this game. 0-0 at half time and at one point I counted 9 connected passes in a row by Polaris. At time pressure and decisions made them kick the ball. But I saw this at all the games on sat, LOL! Game could have been easily a tie, just a little miscommunication and breakdown and missed opportunities, by Polaris. Solar Dynamo, still passed better and just got the better of Polaris that day. New player from Rowdies got shut down most of the game, but looked to be what this team needed. The last time these two teams played Polaris won 1-0.
I think it is funny the Polaris bashing; look were they are playing, who they are playing against, look at their contunual improved play as they go throughout the leagues and tournaments from season to season. Good group , and coach will get them there. They have come a long way in a short time.
I suppose if you need to pick on somebody pick on the small club team or maybe people are just scared what would happen if they get it together, kind of like the Polaris 92 team of old, that was always playing in state cup finals.
Good Luck Polaris, I hope you keep making people guess how good you are and how good you can be since you are not one of the big 5 clubs.
I like an underdog !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
