Re: U10 GIRLS AFC ADIDAS TOURNAMENT ****PREDICTIONS*****
Platinum:
A: SRSA 02 Colvin: Powers through as the only Tier 1 team in the tournament
B: Solar 02 Gio: Playing quality soccer
C: Fever Red: Didn't have the PT Spring they wanted, will come out blazing now. This is a tough bracket.
Wildcard: Waco Blast has heck of a forward, and they might have impact guests (DT South playing anywhere this weekend?), and their bracket seems more likely than the C bracket where they will really beat on each other. If Waco fails, Sting will take wildcard from bracket A. Really hard to see the wild card coming out of C. Will be rough and tumble there.
Platinum winner: SRSA Colvin over Solar Gio.
Gold:
Dynasty over Solar Jones in Final
Silver:
Kosmos

Re: U10 GIRLS AFC ADIDAS TOURNAMENT ****PREDICTIONS*****
There are 5 top 10 teams in this tournament. SRSA is not the only one. Favorites come and go, and when they fall there's always an excuse. One thing is for sure; the other teams will give them their best.
They might be the favorite team, but they still have to play the games and prove it every time they step in there. That's why they play.
No predictions here. If I knew what the future holds, I would've won the lottery a long time ago.

Anyone?? Comments?? This was a big underdog win. Certainly there's some insight. Guests, Colvin players absent, rain, snow?

I heard they had two guests. The keeper and another girl.
Oh...and a third player....THE WIND. It was insane and blowing from goal to goal...sometimes in huge gusts. Not to take anything from feet but it wasn't a pretty goal...wind definitely had an assist.
Side Note: D'feeters old keeper was playing as keeper for Sting Goodman.

I just heard that the keeper and a forward were guesting from FC Dallas Rangel. Either way, Great WIN feeters!

God I just LOVE posts like that...
"I want to be the person to let everyone know that there needs to be asterisk next to the D'Feeters win over SRSA... but I better still give D'Feeters credit for a great win, so that people won't think I'm a complete petty jerk for posting about the guest players in the first place..."

Referee wrote: The wind is no factor. It affects both teams the same. Feeters won. Their goalie is with Sting now and if anybody was short it was them. Look for SRSA to come out swinging on Saturday. Top teams have more to lose on these tournaments. Can't go any higher. They have nowhere to go but down.
Why not tell anyone about what really happened in game instead the wind was not factor? What team controlled better? What team had the better possession of football? What was shots on goal for each team? This forum is lots noise but no information but goals.

Never seen or heard of a game where anybody went up to the ref to say "Our team outplayed the other, we moved it better, had better control, we had more shots on goal and our girls are prettier, therefore you should give us the win"
I wasn't there and just saw the score. Pretty soccer won't take you anywhere if you don't win. How is the wind a factor? They switch sides at half time. Does it affect SRSA more than Feeters? If so, how?
One could argue about being to windy, to hot, to wet, to cold, etc. But again, it affects both teams the same
when they're both out there. Is not like Feeters were playing with a wind protector of some sort.
I'm not a Feeter fan or parent. Just giving credit where its due.

Sometimes a power team controls the ball all afternoon. Then one mistake and the opponent scores just one goal and wins.

I totally disagree...soccer is not about "goals" unless ALL you care about is winning. I would rather my kid play with skill and possession. Even if their team lost because the other team had their girls just kick the ball every time it came to them to some big footed girl up top who just happen to get it in the goal more times than we could.

I agree with Oldboot - Soccer is all about style - If you look good - you play good. Why else would they be making cleats in 27 different colors?

Holy moly I knows you! Yur that feller that is on every sideline hollerin at yur kid saying "don't pass it honey, just take it yurself. Take it straight downs the middle and just SHOOT!" What teams y'all on? I wanna bring my baby sister out to try out fer yur team. She's kind of a big girl and she'll eatcha outta house and home but she can boom dat ball s'long as she don't hafta run much. Put her in the middle of yur defense and sheell kick the long ball to yur kid so you can yell SHOOT honey SHOOT. I hear dat long ball play werks four-ever and those utter teams never figures it out, he he. Itll jest be our lil secret, ok?
