Can someone shed some light on why Texans top team did not play last weekend in the Flamefest as opposed to playing against far lesser competition in the Kyle Owen. It looks as though the SRSA 03 team was denied entry into this particular tournament. Why?

TD are funny about deadlines and money in. Unless they need a team strictly to make brackets work out right they decline you, no problem. Sometimes $400 isn't worth the headaches of trying to make the brackets work out. I know we have been declined before, 2 weeks before tourn, but after the deadline.

Sting Parker defense and midfield played a great game. They sure looked good against a highly ranked team DT Higg. If they continue to play like that they will be the surprise of this tournament! Congrats to Sting Parker.

I have to agree with oldboot. What happen to Higg. This team is slated to be in the top 3, and they could only mustered 2 goals. Wow.. Well I will let it be known sting parker had some help from the Vipers. Only one player! She shut down Higgs forward and Mid. for the most part. She needed a rest cause higg plays so many long balls. That Higg team is not so tuff.

DT very well organized, very methodical. Runners always where they should be.
Sting gave up 1 about 15 minutes in and another just before half. No significant pushes for Sting in first.

Sting played much better in 2nd. 50/50 balls pretty even in 2nd and Sting was working better.

Shots? Sting only mustered about 3 quality chances from what I noticed. Texans had about 10-12 shots total. It was mostly Texans in first; even swings in second.

No saves for Texans keep.
About 3-4 for Sting.
