'04 FBR Rankings - 09-25-12
If your favorite team (e.g. DT North Deleon) is not listed in the current rankings, that is because I don't have a minimum of 3 game results for that team from the past 16 weeks.

I imagine it will take several weeks for this to even out.

It seems playing 2 leagues gives you a boost. Dt South is not playing PAL but instead ASA Boys U9 on sundays. I suppose there is no way to factor those games in correct?

Quick answer first... No, I won't include games from a U9 Boys league. Same reason why I won't include games from an '04 team playing up in a league that is majority '03 teams. Too hard to get an accurate SoS for the non-'04 girls teams in those leagues.
As for playing in 2 leagues, it really depends. The 2 leagues would both have to be fairly "strong" leagues (i.e. TGPL and SDL D1), and the team would have to perform well in both leagues. If the 2nd league is much weaker, it may actually hurt. For example, from a pure FBR calculation standpoint, playing in DIAL is probably going to hurt Lady Aztecs. The competition in that league is much, much, weaker, which is going to hurt their SoS and their Average Weighted Wins, which is 70% of the FBR calcuation. Their MoV and Most Weighted Wins will likely be better due to DIAL, but that is only 30% of the overall calculation.
By the way, Lady Aztecs current #2 ranking is being driven by TGPL results, and strong results against a strong field in the Plano Labor Day tournament, not by DIAL results.

I will say that your rankings appear to be relatively sound based on your methodology. Lastly, it will be interesting to see teams jump or fall 10 spots or more as the teams start playing each other more.
Again, I appreciate your efforts on this and will be eagerly awaiting updates.

It's a better situation than last spring. This fall, with the exception of LP Barnes, you've got all of the teams of significance playing in a league that is mostly '04 teams. That helps significantly. Unfortunately, there's not many teams playing in multiple leagues and there wasn't a significant amount of "crossover" play in the summer tournaments. So getting a really accurate read of the relative strength of teams in different leagues is a bit tough. By November, I'll have all of the fall league play in the database, and hopefully the Nov/Dec tournaments will provide us with several matchups of teams that played in different leagues this fall. That would really help to dial thing in pretty good.
