LHGCL Spring Round Up

Congrats to Solar Gio for their 1-0 win over FCD Blue and congrats to Dynasty for their 2-1 win over Solar Colvin. Good luck to both teams in the final tomorrow.

If it was fair and square thats one thing sorry it wasnt ..At the end of the day Dynasty won so good luck..

True, fair and square playing for the girls on the field. But it wasn't the normal Colvin team. Three starters (who usually play the entire game), plus regular goalie all out with injuries. Played the same 10 girls the entire game. They fought hard.

When you say normal Colvin team, what does that mean? You mean the Colvin team that barely beat Thompson and Cosmos in league play 1-0 and the Colvin team that lost to Feet and tied Dynasty in league play. You are 0-1-1 against Dynasty in the last two matches. Injuries is part of the game. Don't blame, just accept. It happens.

Colvins 10 gave Dynasty all they could handle for the first half but Dynasty had the wind in the second half and attacked with all they had dumping the ball in dangerous areas and capitalizing on some chances. IMO Colvins team busted their butts today with 10 players and deserve a lot of credit. Kuddos to your team working hard till the end and even almost tying it up. Whatever others may say about Colvin they are still a quality team with quality girls and Dynasty came in and beat the #7 team and tied the #11 team. Congrats again to Dynasty girls and coaches. Colvins team was indeed depleted (some injured, one scary sick i think) with a fairly new to the position but game GK, but who can handle 30 mph winds in your face? Both teams came with what they had and the game was good and fast without thuggery. I think solar showed grit and class in a tough situation. I don't know all the team's history but they are still very good right now. Dynasty is from far SW FW (Granbury area) and was given Fri pm, Sat & Sun games and now needs another hotel night for 8:30 Mon finals. A beating for our parentts, but the girls were mainly playing just to get to miss some school I think (the great motivator for all kids). Joan of Arc is not with Dynasty.

Come to think of it, our team only loses if the ref didn't make those bad calls or non calls, and the wind didn't blow so hard, and the ball didn't bounce funny, and the deflection didn't happen off some kid's knee, and the injuries weren't so bad, and if we had more sleep, and if the bacon was crispier at breakfast before the game. Dang, we are way better than I thought! I'm not with either Solar Red or Dynasty but I'm happy. I now realize that my team is a top team, maybe the best in Dallas, just unlucky as all get out.

Congrats to Dynasty on getting the win in PK's. Good group of girls parents and coaches
