To be honest, from our perspective I don't see much difference between the two. We're 1-1, prob 1-2 (hopefully 2-1 after the weekend) against Spirit, 0-2 against North. Even though we got beat 0-4 against both of you in SDL, we were able to put a lot of pressure on Spirit in the 1st half. 2nd half we were exhausted and couldn't run with all of Spirits subs. For us, North Red was harder. I know they beat you 4-0, so it must be a matchup thing.
Maybe the big Spirit, little Spirit refers to Grey?
No, wasn't referring to Grey. Could be just a match up thing, but Spirit (big Spirit) did really hand it to us (Spirit North Red aka little Spirit), but enough with the little and big before I tick off some of my own comrades. You are right about the subs though, it was like they had two teams on the sidelines.

Re: SDL tourney
Any Spirit subs that doesn't want to share playing time willing to play on an up and coming Arlington team?

I understand. Didn't come across as excuse to me. Your comment did trigger a thought I had on our gameday though when I saw waves of big girls warming up on the opposing side of the field. Not that it would have effected the W/L outcome, but likewise we only had one sub (maybe two) that day, but probably more impactful was the fact that arguably our best all around player had been full court pressing on the b-ball court all day prior to the game, so had very little gas in the tank. But I'm sure everyone could cite some mitigating circumstance. No excuses, just got beat on that day.

Re: SDL tourney
Am I biased, you bet I am...I have watched this team work through a lot of changes and adversity this Spring season and what happened over the weekend was well deserved! So, I will be the parent to go on this crazy ass forum, and say well done Pride! Well, done Piper! I am proud my dd plays with such awesome girls and an awesome, dedicated coach!!

Congrats Pride. I do like the new green unis. And I do think you speak some truth about the lack of buzz about this tourney final. I really think this is a good team that can compete with just about any of the top teams. The only obstacle is see is when Pride has to play 11v11. Do you think you guys will be able to get enough quality girls to continue to play at this level? But again, Congrats!!!

I am sure word will get out soon enough as for our plans for the Fall, but yes we are aware that to continue competing at a high level, changes will be happening! All the more reason that well-deserved credit needs to be given to our coach and this team now - In my most humble opinion!

I have no affiliation with Spirit but I agree 100% that they are a REALLY good team. They have speed at every position and I concur that they can compete with any team I've seen play. I thought the final was a great game and one of the most exciting I've seen all year. Congrats to Spirit and their girls!

Having played this team 4 times during the Spring, I have first hand knowledge that this is a great group - kids, coach and parents. Congrats on the tourney win!

Ahhh, maybe a Piper/ Chacon Pride. Is that the cat you speak of? I'm not sure how you'll fit both names on the uni's, But I sure would like to see that team play.
