C'mon now< really? did you forget to ask would the question would your daughter like to pay big bucks for a coach that a club that has no direction and only cares about their ECNL teams? and also does not have their own fields.

I agree Solca has proven himself, CP not so much.  Personally i wouldn't put my daughter in that situation> Why are the 98's so bad and leaving is it because they dedicate a lot of time to this team.  Its sad when even one of the coaches is taking his daughter elsewhere.  The only reason they are bringing CP in is because the 98 team is falling apart and getting an extra 03 Paycheck doesn't hurt.  His 00's are good but its the first year of ECNL for the 00's so he will not be as strong as he was in LHGCL, all the 00's are migrating to the big 5.  Sing, DTR and FCD had over 80 Players at their tryouts for their 00's.

03's will be just another paycheck

it is just so funny to me; in the "real world" at least one might ask; " was he fired from his former employer, did he resign, what were the reason", etc., etc. But in ntx soccer it is "RUN" as fast as you can to the latest and greatest; but whoa, when it dribbles out as to the why. All I can say is "Caveat emptor" and at least ask a few questions before you crown the new prince. What confuses me, and perhaps a few of you much smarter soccer folks, is if your the state champions, regional champions and now one team on its way to nationals, what would you be chasing ( or running away from) that you didn't have...

Well if they were hoping to lure LP talent over there they might have tried grabbing a different coach. Most of the parents I've talked to didn't even know who CP was so for them it was pretty much a non-starter for them.

It will be interesting to see if this team makes or if CP ends up trying to start a 04 team and build it up to take select. It's just so stinking late in the game to try to start a team essentially from scratch. IF they would have had CP 6 months ago when Solar B team was formed and if they kept it as roster pure as possible (didn't bring top girls off the A team to win games) then I'd say this team would easily be a D1 team. As it is now it's going to be difficult, it can be done but it will be difficult.

Problem is where would he get an 04 team from? RASE or Dalglish?

No one has to sign July 1... I hear teams leaving a spot open intentionally for last minute fall outs or non-deciders.
