03 Rankings

I figured since BW said someone else needed to put out a ranking for the 03's why not just have everyone rank their top 20. I could try to do a top 30 but I'll be honest I have no clue about some of the teams that would fall into that category.

1. SRSA - Will be interesting to see what they look like come qualifying and who is on the roster but they are the #1 team until someone knocks them off. Easiest selection to make.
2. DTS Adames - I could easily switch them with my #3 team because I don't see much difference but since they won the last head to head a month ago I'm going with them. Always a fun team to watch, classy coach. Year after year they have been a top 3 team in this age group, that's saying alot considering how much people jump teams.
3. LP Elite - Against the toughest competetion they seem to be the most consistent. Rarely lose to anyone they shouldn't, heck they rarely lose. If they can find a little more offense in the next few weeks they would easily be my #2.
4. FCD Gold - They don't lack for offense, especially if their lineup remains the same from over the weekend. Not sure if the guest players from last weekend are sticking with this team or if they were just looking but it looked like a formidable front line if so.
5. Sting G -Another solid team that has seemed to weather the storm from 6 months ago when it all looked like it was over. Very impressed with how they seem to always compete and when they are clicking they can beat all the team ahead of them except SRSA.

From this point on it's a complete crap shoot, so if you don't like where I put your team, rank them higher in your poll.

6. FCD Premier - Never really sure what you are going to get when they step out there. They look like they have the players to play with the top 5 but have seemed to struggle a bit in recent months when facing the tougher teams. However I'd give them a slight edge over all the teams ranked below them.
7. D'Feeters Hilliard - Left LP to be the top dawg at a club and they've had some success doing so. Had a nice weekend a couple weeks ago beating Rush and 04 RASE. Have only seen them a few times against the top teams in this age group and the results haven't been favorable but I think they are a clear D1 team.
8. Liverpool Rush - at one point I thought they might have a shot to seperate themselves from this group but so far it hasn't happened. The potential is still there to do so and it seems like everytime they play Sting G it's a 1-0 game so you know they can compete.
9. FCD Suarez - I know this one might be a bit of a shocker but from the folks I talked to this weekend they came away impressed with this team. Very raw still but athletically they can compete with anyone. A team that right now relies on the long ball apparently but if they can mix in some possesion and movement they could shock some folks.
10. Sting West Davis - Ask me in a couple of weeks and this team could easily be my #6 team or they could be my #13 team, it's really hard to know. One week they will tie a Top 5 team and the next week they will lose to someone they shouldn't.

GTX just a couple of observations from your rankings

I think Sting G, FCD Gold & LP Rush are all almost the same team.  The difference being LP Rush lacks the offense that Gold and Sting G can bring.

What is more interesting is that if you were to ask an '00 parent about Sting G '00 and Juventus Black '00 they would tell you that the 1st year of select those teams were mirror images of each other in terms of style and when they played each other the games were consistently 1-0.   Juventus Black couldn't keep up that pace and eventually faded back.  I don't think that will happen this time though.  The difference maker for JB wasn't quite the difference maker FCDG has now.  Just a fun fact nothing more....

I would be disappointed if the Fever kid left.  I hold her in a regard similar to #10 at SRSA.  I didn't think either Dad would let anyone near them that wasn't borderline Pep Gaurdiola-esque and with good reason.

SP, what have you heard about Solar CP that makes you rank them that high? Not saying you are wrong, I just haven't really heard of anyone that is on that team yet so I didn't add them on my list.

No doubt they are kick and run...ZEro possession.
But if you were they're Saturday night, you saw them run by Sting G defenders a couple times.  They are track stars.
Speed alone will get them in LHGCL 
And I've never said that about another team.
It will take alot more than speed to succeed once they are there
So this Fall, reality will sink in a bit.

Rank them wherever you want SP, I don't disagree that they are a kick and run team. Practically everyone I ranked ahead of them is a kick and run team. I just think that some of these teams that have never played them before can have their speed sneak up on them. When they played LP Keegan before they lost some players they beat them. Last week they played LP Rush and beat them and then tied Sting G. Sure they scored in the final minutes of both games but they still scored.

Quite honestly I think you could put my 6 through 20 teams all in the same tournament and if they played that tournament 15 times it wouldn't shock me to see 10 different teams win the thing.

I didn't see the keegan game I saw the rush game they had one shot the whole game on a breakaway in the last minute and scored. Athletic with little skill.

4 out of 5 times rush and sting g would beat them. Not impressive...

I don't disagree with you SP, yet they have beaten those teams and tied the other.  I didn't rank them ahead of Rush or Sting G because I believe they would lose to those teams on a consistent basis but until they play more its hard to tell. 

Once again rank them wherever you want when you post your rankings.

Interesting...DT Scott does not have an 03 team. He has an 04 team that has been playing up all tournament season though. Is this who you are ranking with the 03's?

The FCD Suarez that I saw last (which struggled w/ LP Barnes) clearly isn't the same Suarez they are today but I've got to think that "If" AG was on the sideline instead of a parent then she would have adjusted to the FCDS style of play.  

As the girls get older and the coaching improves then an organized backline will be beat speed every time.... unless you've got 3 girls like the Mutiny forward w/ the Fever Girl precision coming at you consistently.
