Re: 05 Fall 2013 CFBAL Registered Teams
Sounds more like a commentary on the perceived notion that platinum players are coming down to play with teams in the gold division elevating the status and strength of that particular team. Then again, I predicated a Rangers in the world series, so what the heck do I know?CoachBones23 wrote:I guess I am trying to understand why the AFC game is the biggest shock? AFC also beat Hyppia 1-0 in the tournament this summer.

I agree with this one. But then again, as has been mentioned, this is a very competitive league and each week is a challenge. Ties and 1 goal losses aren't always a bad thing.NoChance wrote:I think Moreno and Parsons 1-1 tie is the most surprising!! Parsons is stepping up lately.

...so you are saying there is a chance?NoChance wrote:The Hyypia team u beat no longer exists. Most of that team has moved over to Solar. I'm guessing that Carragher took a big hit w that move as well. I'm willing to wager that if u played the current Hyypia team u would lose 10 out of 10 times.

The highlighted section above is incorrect, the HYYPIA team was not impacted by any moves...NoChance wrote:The Hyypia team u beat no longer exists. Most of that team has moved over to Solar. They do have a guest player once in a while that is a foot taller and leaps and bounds better than most. Believe she mainly plays on an 04 team.FriscoSoccer05 wrote:The highlighted section above is incorrect, the HYYPIA team was not impacted by any moves...NoChance wrote:The Hyypia team u beat no longer exists. There was more than 1 tournament this summer. Which is "the tournament" that you are referencing?CoachBones23 wrote:I guess I am trying to understand why the AFC game is the biggest shock? AFC also beat Hyppia 1-0 in the tournament this summer.

The one when the weather was really hot, the refs were bad and the fields were in horrible condition.TatonkaBurger wrote:There was more than 1 tournament this summer. I believe the tourney your referring to is the academy challenge and that team that played under HYYPIA name was a HYYPIA and Carragher mix (I think they helped fill a spot last minute so they threw a team together to play).NoChance wrote:If u are trying to tell me the Hyypia team playing now is the same as when AFC beat them.... U are wrong!! I know for a fact that it is a different team.
But you said earlier girls from that May HYYPIA team went to solar and that is incorrect.

Anyone have a clue what the spring might hold as far as format?
Sounds like several teams are on the fence between 11v11 or 9v9 for the Spring CFBAL.
